The wonderful smell of grain when a fermenter is being filled hits me with a ton of nostalgia. We grew our own field corn when I was growing up in the mountains of eastern #Kentucky. The same corn that we use now to make @WildTurkey #Bourbon.
Crazy that I've been writing about Wild Turkey for nearly a decade. I'll hit the 10-year mark next month. 🥃🦃

This bottle receives more hype and hate than it deserves. I quite enjoy it. Won’t blow you away, but damn if it isn’t a lovely pour. 🥃
I just added some new single-barrel bourbons to the Special Selections page on my blog: NBC 10yo MGP (Kelvin), NBC 8yo KSBW (Kelvin), Green River Single Barrel (128.6 proof), and a James E. Pepper Barrel Proof Decanter. If you're looking for a special bottle, give this page a browse. Cheers!

Double feature! Thanks to the Bourbon Junkies for checking out not one, but TWO of our most recent releases on their livestream last week. Cheers! 🥃 youtube.com/live/ATjpfIwRnpM…
Thanks so much, David! So glad you're enjoying it.
Wow. @RBird101 and Caleb’s Crossing Whiskey nailed this one: 1776-2026 rye. A blend of 8 year Kentucky ryes around 110 proof, including a 100% rye mashbill!
Complex and plenty of spice while still showcasing the fruity side of rye whiskey, with a thread of Lady apple that grabbed me and didn’t want to let go.

Caleb’s Crossing 1776-2026 Kentucky Straight Rye delivers an exceptionally cohesive, well-rounded sip, with mature Kentucky-sourced rye that showcases impressive consistency and complexity. breakingbourbon.com/review/c…
I know it’s a little early, but I had to give this one a celebratory pour after reading @BreakingBourbon’s review. Means a lot to me as a creator. Cheers! 🥃

If you're looking for a great sandwich, my go-to is a variation on the Will Ferrell. Pretty simple but delicious. Lightly toasted honey-wheat bread, Duke's mayo (has to be Duke's), deli-sliced salami, sliced grapefruit (I prefer white over red for this, but either works), and sliced mozzarella. Sounds crazy, but damn if it isn't incredible.
My thoughts on Seelbach's Private Reserve "Usonia" (no paywall). A pleasant surprise and a well-executed Mizunara finish.

“A $55 bottle of barrel-proof bourbon from one of the best distilleries in the world.”
Tired of losing Stagg lotteries? What if five easy-to-find bourbons delivered the same chocolate, dark fruit and charred oak punch for a fraction of the hype?
