Hamas has a role in enabling a solution, as of course Israel does as well. We are all trying to find a result for two states, free the hostages, stop the carnage and resolve the deep divides. The world watches and judges all of us.

McKenna literally spent months campaigning for a Prime Minister who has now pushed through a bill to make it easier to stomp all over Indigenous rights to build pipelines and who is making calls for "decarbonized oil." Oh yeah and under her, our country bought a pipeline.
Climate change is real. The hotter, dryer conditions caused by climate change make these annual wildfires and the smoke associate with them the new norm. We need more action on climate change now.

Canada has abandoned the path of reconciliation and nation-to-nation building in favour of a continuation of ruthless settler capitalism disguised as “elbows up” nationalism. This isn’t going to end well.

Yesterday, the U of Minnesota deleted the American Indian Studies’ statement on Palestine. (Also deleted was a story about Leonard Peltier’s return home and five other dept statements on Palestine.) Our expertise matters if we don’t oppose genocide. web.archive.org/web/20250322…

A North Dakota jury ordered Greenpeace to pay $667 million to an oil company for its alleged involvement in the Standing Rock protests. The lawsuit attempts to “chill First Amendment rights” for environmental and Indigenous activists, says human rights lawyer @SDonziger.

The trial verdict is in. A jury found Greenpeace International and two Greenpeace entities in the US liable for over US$ 660 million combined in Energy Transfer’s meritless SLAPP lawsuit. Energy Transfer Partners tries to erase Indigenous leadership from Standing Rock's history. We know the truth - our movement was born from prayer+ceremony, led by Native women + youth.
