If there was one article you want to read as a clinician?

"Medicine can have extraordinary meaning. But it cannot substitute for being present in your own life. The world may need us as physicians.
But the people who love us need us as ourselves.
And that is the role no one else can fill."
Brilliant - and much love to you

Out today in @TheLancetEndo 10% of the UK adults with the highest T1D GRS have an 8x increased risk of pre-clinical, stage 1 T1D, as defined by 2 autoantibodies.

To prescribe or not to prescribe? #SGLT2 inhibitors slow #CKD progression but it's unclear who with #T2D and mild/no CKD truly benefits. This new model predicts individual benefit, supporting more targeted prescribing. #PrecisionMedicine link.springer.com/article/10… 🔓@Exeter_Diabetes

Please review and consider supporting this important initiative for UK diabetes care

41000 signatures so far! Amazing and thank you all. BUT, time is running out. We’ve only got until 20th December to get to 100000 to get this systemic issue debated in parliament. Please everyone. Type 1 diabetes is a serious condition, if not detected at a GP appointment, kills. It is not type 2 diabetes it is an autoimmune condition! It is rising, it does not care who you are, it does not care if it’s hereditary or not, it does not care if you’re healthy or unhealthy, it does not care about your ethnicity and it does not care about your age. I beg everyone on Facebook with uk citizenship, sign this petition. It is for testing where symptoms warrant it. Do it for you, do it for your mate, do it for your kids, do it for your grandkids, but most of all, do it for our beautiful little girl and everyone that has been badly treated around diagnosis of Type 1 Diabetes x #LylasLaw 💛💝🌻
