On 2nd February @RAMCEA_ joins the entire world to celebrate world wetlands day 2026. All partner states have organised different commemoration events and this is one way of increasing awareness of the role of wetlands to this planet and its inhabitants.
From prehistoric times, many hundreds of generations of people have settled in and around wetlands, often transforming their wetlands into cultural landscapes in which natural and human-made elements are uniquely combined.
