Kyle Larson has made it to Iowa in time to race in tonight's Knoxville Nationals. This is how it became possible on the NASCAR end of things in Richmond.
With around 114 laps to go, crew chief Cliff Daniels informed Larson that Knoxville was in a delay and that they were working on plans for him. Once the checkered flag fell, Daniels told Larson that he had been excused from NASCAR media obligations and that it was still raining in Knoxville but the race hadn't been canceled yet.
"We've got arrangements for you leaving here and once you get on the ground there. So once you get out of the car, hustle up."
"OK. Thank you guys."
Kyle then parked at the end of pit road, unbuckled, and took off.

Thank God sports exist. If they didn't then what would all the boisterous, highly emotional competitive people be doing? Crime would probably be much higher.
Why do people ridicule "dad" jokes? They are by far more creative than anything said by the person rolling their eyes at them. Whenever the person saying the pun or joke comes up with it, then it's creative and smart.. not stupid and not cheesy.

We join the rest of the sports world in mourning the tragic passing of NASCAR legend Kyle Busch.
In 2025, Kyle threw out the first pitch at MLB’s Speedway Classic at Bristol Motor Speedway.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones.
