Except no such setting exits in the app under the chromecast entry (this was Google's own how-to page).
Maybe it's under the Home app's settings? Yes, there's a Restricted Mode, oh, but it's off 🤔
Maybe it's the Rooms settings, no, off there as well.

Chromecast attached too Google Home app, controlled by android phone and YouTube app already paid to TV.
Can't play (totally PG) content due to Restricted Mode, goo to settings to disable

Tools aren't going to make you great testers.
Your creativity, way of thinking, and ability to ask insightful questions will.

Complaining that testing (in general) slows down software delivery is like complaining that brakes slow down a race car.

1) I've been in software development for about 35 years. It's a little discouraging that to this day, many people still believe that the point of testing is to get the right answers to prescribed questions, rather than to reveal the actual state of the product, problems and all.

Chris Lee with a front row seat to Brayden McNabb punching Nick Suzuki in the face. Nothing.
I don't see how the NHL can continue trotting these two guys out. IT IS THE THIRD ROUND OF THE PLAYOFFS.

Did Chris Lee ever try out for the #Habs and get cut?

Confusion is a necessary feeling when finding problems with software. AI and automation cannot replicate this. You might think you are testing well but you really are not. – at Hamilton, Ontario

Once again, a basic asymmetry that people MUST remember. A test CANNOT ensure that everything went well (and a check definitely cannot). A test CAN help us to detect a problem, but we cannot reliably and logically say that there's NO problem; only that we haven't observed one.

a) Setting out to demonstrate that the product works, instead of trying to challenge the product to find bugs that will matter to people who use it.
b) Calling (a) "testing", confusing it with "showing examples" and "demonstration".

Behold, the gateway to Hell, 2021:
"It's only going to be used rarely or by a few people, so no point in describing it well."
"No testing required."
Sparse documentation, and no critical evaluation required. This is the world we are making.

Making the product do something is not a test. Making the product do something, challenging it, observing it, evaluating it, with intention to learn something about it—and with special focus on risk, on discovering problems that matter, and on not being fooled... THAT's a test.

There is always a tacit requirement: "users will not experience unpleasant things we didn’t reckon on." This can't be verified, it can't be expressed in code, and it can't be checked. It must be evaluated through learning, experiencing, exploring, experimenting. That is: tested.
