In ATLA, Hama explains that bloodbending requires a full moon because that’s when waterbending is at its strongest. Then TLOK introduces Yakone, Tarrlok and Amon, who can bloodbend without one. We know they’re exceptionally powerful, but if Amon can literally control someone’s body without a full moon, why aren’t more elite waterbenders developing this ability? And how did something supposedly almost impossible become a family trait?

the only real time firebending was really impressive was during sozins comet. other than that every other element bodies firebending Korra also established that bending became more modernized which is why shit like pro bending exist and people using it for their jobs

the og show introduced insta win moves for bending like putting people neck deep into the ground or superspeed that couldve ended conflicts immediately and made firebending look less impressive compared to other elements who do way more powerful shit that LOK had to nerf it
