RWA, GameFi, and Restaking tokens outperformed the broader crypto market in July, with RWA emerging as the strongest category overall. While GameFi and Restaking gains were largely driven by large-cap tokens, Memecoins and DePIN remained broadly weak. AI and Layer 2 tokens also underperformed as their largest assets weighed on the sectors. Despite improving market breadth, subdued trading volumes suggest July was more of a stabilization month than a confirmed risk-on rally.

Episode 2 On AI And Crypto A lot of people think the future of Perp DEXs is higher leverage. I don't. I think the real shift will come from better decision making. For years, trading has been a battle against ourselves. We enter too early because of FOMO, hold losing positions because we don't want to admit we're wrong, and ignore our own strategy the moment the market gets volatile. The hardest part of trading has never been placing an order. It's staying disciplined. That's why I think AI has a much bigger role to play in Perp DEXs than simply telling us whether $BTC is going up or down. Imagine opening a perpetual position and having an AI monitor it 24/7. Not to make random trades on your behalf, but to follow rules you've already agreed to. "If funding becomes too expensive, reduce exposure." "If volatility spikes beyond a certain level, tighten my stop loss." "If another market offers a better risk-to-reward setup, notify me before I rotate." That's not replacing the trader. That's removing the moments where emotions usually take over. The beauty of Perp DEXs is that they're open, programmable, and permissionless. Anyone can build on top of them. That makes them a natural environment for AI-powered trading assistants. Over time, I don't think traders will spend hours staring at charts waiting for the perfect entry. Instead, they'll spend more time designing strategies and less time babysitting positions. The AI won't be the trader. You'll still decide your goals, your risk, and your conviction. The AI will simply execute your plan with more consistency than most humans ever could. Of course, this doesn't mean AI will magically make everyone profitable. A bad strategy doesn't become a good one just because it's automated. If anything, AI will expose weak strategies even faster. But for traders who already have an edge, I can see AI becoming as essential as charts are today. Five years from now, we may look back and wonder why we ever believed the biggest innovation in Perp DEXs was 100x leverage. Maybe the real innovation was giving traders the tools to be more disciplined than they've ever been. I'm curious where you stand. If you had a trustworthy AI assistant for Perp trading, what would you let it do,and what would you never hand over?
For the longest time, I saw AI and crypto as two separate stories. Now I think they're becoming one. AI is learning how to think. Crypto is teaching it how to transact. That changes everything. An AI can write code, summarize research, or analyze a market in seconds. But without an open financial system, it's still just giving suggestions. It can't own anything. It can't pay for a service. It can't earn money. It can't interact with other applications without someone sitting behind a keyboard. Crypto fixes that. The moment an AI has a wallet, it stops being just another chatbot. It becomes an economic participant. Imagine telling your AI: "Find the best yield, move my funds if a better opportunity appears, and keep my risk below 5%." Or... "Book my entire trip if the total cost drops below $800." You set the rules. The AI does the work. That's the future I think we're heading toward. And it goes beyond trading. We're talking about AI agents paying for APIs, buying compute, collaborating with other agents, participating in prediction markets, managing on-chain portfolios, and eventually running entire online businesses with minimal human input. People keep asking whether AI will replace crypto or whether crypto needs AI. I think that's the wrong question. AI needs an open economy. Crypto needs intelligent users. Together, they unlock something much bigger than either could build alone. We spend so much time debating prices and narratives that we forget to ask the more important question: What happens when billions of AI agents become users of the internet too? Because if that happens... Crypto won't just be finance. It'll be the infrastructure they run on. Curious where you stand on this. Do you think AI will accelerate crypto adoption,or is the market getting ahead of itself?

People often judge a blockchain by the apps people use, not the infrastructure that makes those apps possible. That's one reason I'm paying attention to what's being built on @DogeOS. Instead of trying to do everything with one protocol, different projects are solving different parts of the trading experience. Take @bark_swap, built by @SofaLabs_org. It's a native ve(3,3) DEX where users can provide liquidity, earn trading fees, and vote on emissions through token locking. It's focused on spot trading and creating deeper on-chain liquidity around $DOGE. Then there's @DerpsParty. As the first native perpetual futures DEX on DogeOS, it brings oracle-powered perpetual trading with up to 69x leverage, giving traders a way to go long or short without dealing with contract expirations. What I find interesting is that these projects aren't competing, they're filling different roles. BarkSwap handles spot markets. Derps handles perpetuals. Together, they give DogeOS two pieces of trading infrastructure you'd expect to find in a more mature DeFi ecosystem, while expanding the ways users can interact with $DOGE. It's still early. Both projects are in the testnet phase, and Derps hasn't announced a token, so I'd be careful around anyone claiming there's a token launch or airdrop. Whether these projects succeed will depend on adoption, but I think they highlight the direction DogeOS is moving. It's not just adding new apps, it's building the infrastructure that could support a much broader ecosystem over time. Disclaimer: No paid content. All opinions expressed are my own. @TheDogeOH

PlaysOut & Kult Games: Strengthening Gaming Adoption in the DogeOS Ecosystem When discussing Web3 gaming, many focus on bigger games or larger rewards. I believe the bigger challenge is making blockchain so seamless that players barely notice it's there. That's what led me to research @itplaysout, @_KultGames, and their roles within the @DogeOS ecosystem. DogeOS and Why Gaming Matters: DogeOS is building an application layer for Dogecoin that expands DOGE's utility beyond payments by enabling developers to build consumer applications. Gaming is a natural fit because it encourages regular engagement and gives users practical ways to interact with the ecosystem. PlaysOut: Making Web3 Gaming Accessible The vision of @itplaysout is to bring high-quality mini-games to a global audience while reducing the barriers between Web2 and Web3. Instead of requiring players to understand wallets or crypto first, PlaysOut introduces blockchain features like digital ownership and DOGE-powered rewards through gameplay. Its infrastructure includes mini-game publishing tools, developer SDKs, broad distribution, branded game IP support, and DogeOS integration. Its biggest strength is combining large-scale game distribution with simple Web3 onboarding. Kult Games: Driving Long-Term Engagement While PlaysOut focuses on attracting users, @_KultGames focuses on keeping them engaged. Through community-driven games, quests, competitions, and progression systems, it addresses one of Web3's biggest challenges, which is user retention. Its focus on social gameplay and recurring participation helps strengthen long-term activity within the DogeOS ecosystem. Why They Matter Together: In my opinion, although both projects operate in gaming, they solve different problems. - PlaysOut lowers the barrier to entry through accessible games and publishing infrastructure. - Kult Games increases retention through community engagement and recurring gameplay. Together, they create a stronger foundation for sustainable ecosystem growth. Benefits and Challenges: Players gain enjoyable experiences, digital ownership, and DOGE-powered rewards. Developers benefit from publishing infrastructure and easier Web3 integration, while creators gain new opportunities to build gaming communities. For the broader Dogecoin ecosystem, greater gaming activity could increase DOGE utility, ecosystem participation, and developer interest. However, success will depend on delivering quality gameplay, sustainable game economies, seamless onboarding, and experiences that keep players engaged beyond financial incentives. Conclusion: After researching both projects, I believe @itplaysout and @_KultGames play complementary roles within the DogeOS ecosystem. PlaysOut focuses on onboarding new users, while Kult Games strengthens long-term engagement. Together, they have the potential to accelerate user adoption, increase ecosystem activity, and position gaming as a key gateway to expanding Dogecoin's real-world utility.
