Congratulations to the students of Jamia on winning the fight for a Students’ Union!
This victory belongs to every student who stood up and fought for their democratic rights.
I’m proud of NSUI activist Ebin, who sat on a hunger strike for 18 days, and of Faizan, Jamia NSUI Unit President, and Zeeshan, NSUI National Office Bearer, who remain in Tihar Jail for this fight.
Jamia has shown that when students fight for their rights, victory is the only way.
I believe now every university in India will win its fight for Students’ Union elections.

The distress of over 600 Karnataka Umrah pilgrims stranded in Makkah and Madina, away from their families and facing uncertainty over their return, is deeply concerning.
I have written to Hon’ble External Affairs Minister @DrSJaishankar , urging his immediate intervention to facilitate their safe and early return, including special flights wherever necessary, and to ensure that they receive adequate food, accommodation and assistance in the meantime.
Our pilgrims and their families should not have to face this hardship alone. The Government of Karnataka stands ready to work with the Union Government and all concerned authorities to bring them home safely.
