#NHLJets Kyle Connor was extremely candid today speaking about good friend and (future former) teammate Connor Hellebuyck.
On the message Hellebuyck is sending by going on strike and his own thoughts about remaining in Winnipeg.

Steve Kerr says Roger Federer taught his Warriors team the secret to sustained success wasn’t outworking everyone, it was building a life around your craft you never want to escape from
“I’ll tell you a great story about Roger Federer. We were playing in China with the Warriors in 2017. Roger was in Shanghai for the Masters tournament, so we invited him to come speak to the team.”
“Draymond Green asked him, ‘How do you sustain success? How have you managed to win majors 20 years after you first won one?’ Everyone was expecting him to say, ‘I work harder than everybody,’ the will, all the clichés.”
“Roger Federer says, ‘I get up every morning and I make breakfast for my kids. Then I take them to school and drop them off. Then I go practice tennis for about two hours, and I’ve figured out a really good routine where I don’t destroy my body, but I can get all the work in I need.”
“‘Then I go have lunch with my wife. In the evening, we cook dinner together. The kids are all home from school. We ask them about school. There’s so much joy in the house. We put them to bed, and then I put my head on the pillow and go, “Man, that was just a great day.” And I’ve been doing that for 20 years.’”
“And it was like, yes. That’s it. That’s the formula. That’s what leads to sustained success. He loves tennis. He loves his family. He loves life. It’s not outworking everybody and banging your head against the wall, ‘I’m going to be better than everybody.’ It’s allowing your natural talent to shine through with a work ethic, with a great family life, with perspective, with peace, with mindfulness.”
“It’s perspective. It’s joy. It’s passion. It’s mindfulness. It’s an awareness that we are truly lucky. To get the most out of ourselves, it’s our daily rituals and experiences and love and joy.”

Stella is 15, some days are slower than others. Today she had a bounce back day where she had pep in her step.
At dinner we always ask our kids their favorite part of the day and my 7 yr old said his was Stella feeling better. And ooh boy, let me tell you. Thats the good stuff
I hope everyone’s having an incredible Friday, with FriYay vibes.
I happen to be off work, and Moose and I are soaking up the rays☀️

Let’s go Frank!!
🚨 WEIGH IN 33 🚨
•290.8 pounds (ATH 530+ pounds)
•Frank has lost 250+ pounds
•We’ve officially hit the “Diet Wall”
Any health journey will have setbacks, include moments of adversity, and ultimately hit walls.
Frank’s journey is no different.
The important thing is how you RESPOND to setbacks or moments of stagnation, opposed to wallowing in it.
Frank has bounced between 278-292 pounds over the last 6 months. His step count remains well over 20K per day and he has been lifting weights 3X per week since Arnold taught him how over Christmas break.
Frank has put on significant muscle and looks great, but he can still lower his BMI. And he’ll need to before going forward with a potential skin removal procedure.
To break through the wall of this current 278-290 pound plateau, Frank must level up his discipline on diet. The good news is Frank is completely honest about his eating habits and owns it when he messes up. No excuses. No denial.
We have talked it out at length how Frank is learning the hard way that at a certain point, you can’t out walk or out lift a bad diet.
The challenge going forward is Frank channeling the ferocious discipline he has applied to his exercise regiment and to his diet.
Frank will never be a salad guy (or humus) but he knows he can make better decisions throughout the day and night from baseline meals to snacks to drink choices.
This wall is going to be extremely hard to break though, but I know Frank can do it. Just gotta take that sledgehammer and start swinging. The first few hits might not even make a dent, but with consistent pressure and focus THE WALL WILL FALL.
Time to lock in.
