This #VeteransDay, we want to talk about one statistic in particular:
When we talk about honoring veterans, we tend to focus on their service as soldiers. We outright forget about the challenges they face as *veterans*, and the lives they often struggle to build when their military career is finished.
We can — and should — do better!
The work that @ccbriant and the whole @shift team are committed to is a great place to start.
And if you, like Colleen, also want to be doing directly impactful work, head over to projectmobilize.us and subscribe.

Y’all it might be fraught with ambiguity but we saw 2 people apply to @TrueLinkFin as a direct result of @ProjMobilize and that ain’t nothin’
Whole companies exist to take money from the elderly; fake charities, publications, medical fraud.
It's a big problem with a straightforward solution: better, safer, financial management tools for seniors and those that care for them. Which is exactly what @TrueLinkFin does.
@TrueLinkFin has been so effective, that their impact reports are cited by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. They're experts, and they're hiring!
And, if True Link isn't quite the right fit, we've covered 8 other companies where you can do unambiguous good. Check them out at projectmobilize.us
Earlier this year, @BernieSanders called the American insulin crisis "a national embarrassment." We're inclined to agree.
Amy's journey is impressive, and inspiring! To be driven enough to learn a wholly new skillset — especially one you're only *mostly* sure will help you make the world a better place — takes bravery.
For those of us who already have that skillset, the jump is far less scary.
The stories we tell at projectmobilize.us are all about people who, like Amy, figured it out on their own, so that we can join them in making the world a little better.

At the 2019 World Economic Forum in Davos, @GretaThunberg told the world's wealthiest "I want you to act as if the house is on fire, because it is."
It literally is. Fires in the Amazon jumped 84% in the last year.
Is it enough to put out the fires — both literal and metaphorical?
Not immediately.
But fundamentally changing the nature of the goods we consume is a first step you can start working on *today*. We made it pretty easy, just read about them, and apply! (Or DM us — we can help!)
And if, at the end of the day, Grove isn't for you, fundamentally changing the nature of the way you find your next job is an *even easier* first step.
All you have to do is subscribe to Project Mobilize at projectmobilize.us.
