When we invested in Aurora saw a massive gap in fulfilling the needs of HNWs (and particularly athletes). Cool to see @kylekuzma get involved!

@kylekuzma gave us 72h and a blank slate. Here's what we did with it.

Really proud of what we've built from scratch: • 34,000 newsletter subs • 1,100 association members • 150,000 social media followers • investments into 16 early-stage companies • events w/ hundreds of members across the world • 270 podcasts (w/ thousands of downloads/episode) I'm flattered to see the copycat models that have continued to emerge, as it further validates what we're doing at @ProfluenceCo. It's how I know we're truly shaping the future of sports... Let's keep building! 🚀

Many of the most successful founders are outsiders... In sports, there are good examples of this: 3⃣WHOOP ($3.6B) - Founded by Will Ahmed, a former Harvard squash player with no background in wearables or sports science. 2⃣Peloton ($3.2B) - John Foley, a former executive at Barnes & Noble, co-founded Peloton without a background in fitness. 1⃣DraftKings ($23B) - Jason Robins, Matt Kalish, & Paul Liberman came from tech and marketing backgrounds, not from the sports or gambling industries. And what gets me most excited... Is how many other talented founders continue to enter the sports industry bringing new thoughts, ideas, and outside perspectives! 📈

Super cool 𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 from one of our portfolio companies... 4 months after stepping on the field, our alt jerseys have been released at @westchestersc. 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬: ⚽ ❶ We’ve built a soccer team from scratch faster than anyone in USL history, in what we believe is a massive arbitrage opportunity. ❷ One of the fastest growing social media accounts in the league - nearing 13,000 followers in only a few months. ❸ Acquired a youth sports academy, brought on athlete investors, gave fans ownership through a successful crowdfund, and much more is in the pipeline. We don’t just analyze/talk about things at @ProfluenceCo…we do them.
