Police in the UK are gathering vast amounts of personal data and have plans to share this data across 50 law enforcement agencies, the Home Office, the Ministry of Justice, and others. computerweekly.com/news/3666…
this route will not work universally but nevertheless it's well worth trying. There is after all no single route to stopping criminality of more conventional types.
A good news story - reaching young people before they are seduced by the Dark Side - worthwhile project as described by @joetidy Teen hackers tell BBC how police are helping them use their skills for good bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cn0n…
The issue is the extent of damage to Trump.
Replying to @PrezLives2022
The issue is that the BBC deceptively edited video of Trump. That happened and is easily provable. This is just desperation on their part.
If you are sued the right to see the plaintiff's evidence and everything that is relevant to their claim is completely fundamental to the judicial process. In England discovery is called disclosure. Anything which might undermine a plaintiff's case or assist a defendant.

How will this and all the other child protection proposals be enforced? If enforcement isn't practically achievable we should be looking at other measures, including education in self protection and safety.
The Government is to propose a midnight social media curfew for 16 and 17-year-olds.
The proposals include the ability to disable features they say encourage addictive use, like auto play and infinite scrolling.
However the curfew won't be mandatory - and teenagers will be able to override it by changing their settings.
Online safety campaigners say it doesn't go far enough to protect youngsters.
How is all this going to be enforced? Parliament can pass laws just as Canute could order the tide to stop. We should be looking much more at slef-protective education for children and parents. And ask the social media giants to fund.

Recidivist hackers. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cx2k… Puzzle here is why they carried on hacking after being caught when they must have known they were under surveillance. Other hackers where I have acted as expert have stopped and then led productive lives.

Very strong words ahead of expected social media ban from @mollyroseorg -
Ian Russell tells us govt is rushing in a blanket ban, rather than more sophisticated controls, under political pressure, in a 'deplorable way'

Sadly they’re opting for populist, headline grabbing approaches rather than actually focussing on the real problem: technological solutions don’t solve sociological problems. Those affected worry that some tech may feel obliged to withdraw: only the citizens lose in that case.
