If @heraldscotland is attempting to imply the commissioner of a poll affects the result of 'standard questions', thus would be further evidence of the mainstream Scottish media becoming increasingly and hysterically deranged.
A further Scottish Independence poll out today (Survation).
Should Scotland be an independent country?
YES 54%
NO 46%
General trend of polls suggest Scotland split almost 50/50 with probably a small yes lead.
This thread is Twitter in action. Guy asks airline straightforward question. Everyone gives their view: some right, some wrong.
Some check the website, but those who are wrong double down.
Airline even gives the answer.
People who are wrong still don't back down! 馃槅
Hello @easyJet I have a return flight booked with you next month.
Due to a change in my plans I intend to use the return portion only (i.e. not the outbound).
Do I need to do anything to preserve my right to use the return only? I realise no refund entitlement re outbound.

To state the obvious:
A General Election poll reflects current opinion for a General Election;
A Scottish Election poll reflects current opinion for a Scottish Election;
A poll on Scottish Independence reflects current opinion on Scottish Independence.
It's really not difficult!

To avoid dumb responses to polls:
Virtually all are commissioned. So long as they ask standard questions, results aren't influenced by the client.
They're snapshots in time; some can be outliers. The general trend matters.
It's normal to exclude Don't Know and 'unlikely to vote'.

.@TheGreenParty Zionism motion (regardless of its substance) put @ZackPolanski in an impossible position. Had he attended, spoken against it and (inevitably) lost, the journalists criticising him for not attending would have been after him for not being able to control the party.
.@TheGreenParty is discovering the hard way that Party management matters (and also serves as an object lesson for other folk who think Party Conferences should be a grassroots free for all).
'Party grandees' are also realising they can't just shoot their mouths off either.
Comedy gold as a bunch of Tories stiffer than corpses try to pretend they're relevant by referencing 'popular culture'! 馃ぃ
It goes without saying that there's just been an election in which the Tories were slaughtered.
Better from @ScotlandNT
Just lost their way for 20 mins, but it's an uphill battle now.

The first Slovenia goal came out of nowhere, and it's been one way traffic since then.
