It genuinely warms my heart that there are in fact some folks that had a rough first introduction to me on Twitter (usually because I criticized something they said) who are mutuals now because we can appreciate each other enough to agree to disagree on some things.

Unreal. Blame Jews for all the world's evils: c'mon Jews, give anti-Semitism a chance Campaign with the former vice president: you'd better apologize for that, she doesn't support Hamas @jonlovett should take notes
El-Sayed sat for the interview, which featured editors and publishers from various small publications, at the Dearborn offices of Siblani’s newspaper, the Arab American News. Siblani urged El-Sayed to “say something right now to soothe” people in majority Arab Dearborn who disapprove of El-Sayed campaigning with Kamala Harris. “Some of them are not very happy, as you know,” Siblani said.

I want to be very clear: Lovett supported a literal Nazi in Maine and should not be trusted on Jewish issues. Jews, you owe your vote to no one. Candidates must earn your vote. You alone decide if El Sayed has.
Lovett: I just want to be very clear: Jews in Michigan have a moral obligation to support Abdul. They should do it to protect themselves from antisemitism and rising hatred in America.

Why does Abdul El Sayed keep having to distance himself from horrible antisemitic men? At some point you ARE the company you keep.
Replying to @GrantGHurst
He didn't release this ad, it was Cenk Uygur who hastily edited his own ad from his own failed presidential run to be about AES. But yes, this does make AES look like an antisemitic weirdo and less likely to win a general election. A bad thing for Uygur to put on him, I'd say.

Jewish Michiganders aren’t going to listen to Lovett, who went to war for a guy with a Nazi tattoo. They don’t have an obligation to support El-Sayed, who defended a terrorist attack against a synagogue. El-Sayed has repeatedly proved he doesn’t care about antisemitism.

Are you retarded or illiterate? 33% isn't a majority. Nobody said majority but you. Next time, try reading. Assuming you can.

For all the people defending El-Sayed over this vile anti-Semitic ad by arguing his campaign didn't run it, remember he said the same thing during his primary campaign against Haley Stevens.

Hi @jonlovett — you’re the genius who supported the scumbag with the nazi tattoo, correct? Do us all a favor and STFU.

Pretty telling that @AbdulElSayed has time to tweet but no time to denounce what everyone can plainly see is his PAC money being spent to stir up anti-Semitism. Shameful and cowardly.
I have spoken out against anti-Muslim hate in the Michigan Senate race. I will speak out just as loudly when the target is Jewish people. Let me state a little-known fact: ISRAEL GETS LESS THAN 0.1 PERCENT OF THE FEDERAL BUDGET. That’s less than one tenth of a percent! But there is an ad running that tells voters they can’t afford groceries because the United States gives so much money to Israel. In reality, the United States spends money in and on countries all around the world – but this ad singles out the Jewish state. The ad is as dangerous as it is dishonest. You can disagree with how the United States spends money abroad. But telling hungry families that the Jewish state is the reason they are suffering is wrong and shameful. Blaming Jews for people’s problems is an old story. Anybody who has read the last century of history knows where it leads. It is a dark pathway. This ad is anti-Jewish hate and should come down immediately. Abdul El-Sayed should denounce it today.

And are there more moderate Dems in suburbs, especially among the ~100k Jewish voters, who will defect from el-Sayed? The key place to watch is Oakland County, second largest in the state, which Slotkin won by 12 over Rogers in '24. An el-Sayed underperformance there wipes out the gains in those Wayne cities.

I would ask what the fuck is wrong with you, but you openly support terrorism so it's pretty obvious. I hope the grifterbux are worth destroying every political movement you touch.
there were literal neonazis outside and you’re worried about the antizionist on stage. lock in unc.

Cenk thinks that foreigners can vote 😂
Perfect example of the media filter. Everyone online loves the ad, it’s gotten millions of views and wonderful accolades. Radical Zionists are the only ones objecting. And national media spins that as “avalanche of criticism” because only people they know are radical Zionists.

Oh, honey. CNN would never invite an airhead like Emma on.
Can you imagine if Emma went on CNN and did this to a "centrist" Democrat like Turek, 9 days before the election? Dems would eviscerate her.

You left out Independents, bigot.
Thanks all for mainstreaming Islamophobia. This includes Republicans, of course, but also corporate media and pro-AIPAC Democrats who desperately want El-Sayed to lose.

Haley Stevens tells CNN she encouraged Abdul El-Sayed to give a speech addressing Black voters’ concerns, and “that didn’t happen.” “I told the campaign, ‘Give a speech in the Black community. Make it a note of recognition for some of the pain, some of the struggles people are going through.’ ... That speech didn’t happen.”

His critics have repeatedly explained to you that the issue is his refusal to denounce terrorism and his disrespect for voters. You just think "terrorist" is a religion and that he is one. Skill issue, Mehdi.
Sorry Lis, that's BS. You know full well that it is absurd to say Haley Stevens refusing to publicly and fully back @AbdulElSayed by name on live national television less than 10 days from election day has anything to do with "candidate quality." His critics have made it very clear it's about his anti-Israel views. And if it was about his "candidate quality," then why is @BarackObama campaigning for him and praising him? Why is your former client @MalloryMcMorrow (and I am glad she is!)?

For the record, in case anyone doubts, here's a repost of this same ad from February 2024, explaining that it's a Cenk Uygur for President ad. Listen to the jubilant Brazilians telling us how to win elections against fascists: ignore the bad actors. 5/ xitter.cf/yashar/status/17583327…
New Cenk Uygur ad features a couple in the grocery store bemoaning the fact that they can’t afford eggs because the US government needs to the money to “kill Palestinians.”

Funny that, John. Democrats literally nominated a Nazi just four months ago. And didn't kick him off the ballot until they found out he was ALSO a rapist and serial abuser. Glass houses and all that.
John Oliver: “It does feel that the Republican Party has been getting way too comfortable with some, at best, Nazi-adjacent sh*t.” “Nazis getting power doesn’t historically bode well for anyone, including, for what it’s worth, Nazis, who didn’t exactly have the best 1945.” variety.com/2026/tv/news/joh…
