Frank Luntz, Buckley Carlson, working with The Israel Project, wrote a detailed hasbara guidebook titled “Wexner Analysis: Israeli Communications Priorities 2003” under commission from the Wexner Foundation. Leslie Wexner, the billionaire (one of the richest men in the world at the time) and a major funder of Birthright Israel, created the foundation. Wexner’s longtime close associate and financial manager was Jeffrey Epstein, who for years controlled significant aspects of Wexner’s fortune and lived in properties he provided. It coaches speakers to feign concern for Palestinian suffering, stress “democracy” and “children,” use female spokespeople for credibility, avoid praising Bush (to not alienate Democrats), and reframe occupation policies as shared American values—all while never conceding the fundamental injustice of the occupation itself. Buckley Carlson has blood of innocence on his hands.
