Today, Deputy Secretary General @JoanUfMBCN inaugurated the webinar "Coordinating Local and National Actions to Reduce Food Loss and Waste in Mediterranean Cities," organized by the #UfM, @PrimaProgram, @FAO, and @CIHEAM: "In the Mediterranean, over 70% of our population resides in urban areas, and food loss and waste exacerbate the pressures on already scarce resources," highlighted DSG Borrell.
This event is part of the SFS-MED Platform, a multi-stakeholder initiative that promotes collaborative actions for sustainable food systems in the Mediterranean, supporting the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
