If this was true, the US would have a better train system.

Let’s get wild with it: If you’re gonna deny immigrants access all of these public services that they still pay for, then they should be completely tax exempt until they’re officially Canadian citizens then. Let’s see how well that goes

My polling in Alberta and my visit to the province last month reaffirmed this conclusion.
Albertans have been asked a question it did not want by a government it does not trust to answer it, about a country it is not prepared to give up, in the shadow of a neighbour it does not trust at all.

No. Provinces should be weaker, not stronger.
Today you have a ballot in front of you.
“Yes to the Nine” means Alberta gets a real say over our own immigration, so growth matches the housing, schools and hospitals we have to support it. It means temporary programs contribute to the services they use. It means constitutional reforms that protect this province's authority no matter who sits in Ottawa.
Vote today.
✅ Vote for a stronger Alberta within a united Canada.
✅ Vote yes to the nine.
A reminder that a big reason results will take time to count is 2 years ago Premier Smith passed a ban on electronic vote tabulators. Her right wing base absorbed American conspiracy theories about the machines and now will spin new ones about why the counting takes too long.

They voted for Smith. Before that, they voted for Kenney. Before that, they voted for Redford, Stelmach & Klein.
They've been running this place for decades, and somehow think Alberta's problems are not related to the people they put inside that building in front of them.

Mark Carney: The world is becoming more dangerous and divided.
Heckler: Bullshit!
Carney: Open your eyes. There are some outside our borders who are working to break us so they can own us. Never.
