In the long run, I don't think this will have much of an impact. When OpenClaw came out, everyone thought the future of AI would be a bunch of Mac Minis sitting inside people's homes, running agent software like OC or Hermes. Fast forward to today, it has become almost evident that the future of AI agents is running in dedicated VMs in the cloud (à la Grok Bot, Muse, and OpenAI Dots). Apple might tighten the privacy/security of its OS (good move IMO), but the hackers and power users who run AI agents on their own local hardware will likely be using a Linux machine or VM.
Apple is going to make it even harder to productively use macOS in the age of agents? Bold move. Let's see how it plays out!

Do you think it's possible to measure all these in one hour? Lipid profile, blood chemistry and HbA1c from a finger prick Urine test Blood pressure measurement 6/12-lead ECG Heart echocardiography Hearing test Spirometry FIT test Heart stress test based on ischemia and HRV Aortic aneurysm screening I received an offer from MPCheck, a company based in Israel: a longevity screening service at my home. A medical professional came to my studio in Budapest and did the whole screening process in one hour. The future of healthcare will be shaped by services that make basic, evidence-based preventive care easier to access and easier to act on. See the experience and the process yourself in my newest video: youtube.com/watch?v=ineiWNQY…

I think video AI is heading toward continuous cognition with a face attached and Griffin makes me think the avatar race is almost over right as the agent race starts. At ~430ms, the hard problem becomes staying inside the conversational floor: knowing when to nod, interrupt, wait, recover, keep watching while speaking. That’s closer to building presence than generating video.
Introducing Griffin, the first model to pass the video Turing test. 48% of people who talked to it live thought it was a real human. Previous systems have had a pass rate <3%. It is #1 on NVIDIA's benchmark for full-duplex AI video. It’s the first Human Interaction Model (HIM).
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The 48% figure and "video Turing test" claim are from Tavus's own study of 54 one-minute calls, not independently verified or using a standard protocol. Griffin-Lite leads NVIDIA's VideoFDB benchmark on their public leaderboard. cellcog.ai/blog/tavus-gri… research.nvidia.com/labs/amri/proj… tech-ish.com/2026/10/02/tav…

A few years ago it was basically a handful of dedicated AI labs, now Xiaomi, Ant, Alibaba + others are just casually showing up with models that can sit within distance of top frontier models. And lot of them are opening the weights too Research diffuses, talent moves, infra gets copied, and each strong open release give everyone else a much better starting point for the next cycle. "Frontier" might end up meaning less who can get there and more who can keep moving the line before everyone else catches the last one.
Meet Ling-3.1-flash: ~560B total params, ~25B active/token, up to 1M-token context. We plan to open-source the model soon. Across work, coding & healthcare: 1,673 Elo on GDPVal-AA v2.1, 75.16 on FrontierSWE, and 65.35 on HealthBench Professional.

Announcing Gemini 4 Argon, our new frontier model. Argon is built to sustain deep reasoning across complex, long-horizon workflows and delivers frontier performance in complex workflows across real-world software engineering, enterprise knowledge work like legal and finance, and cybersecurity defense. We’re also expanding the model’s output token limit to an industry-leading 1M tokens. Argon is currently rolling out to a set of trusted cyber defenders in the Fairwind Program, with broader availability as soon as possible.

$MU says memory and storage will be “much tighter” in fiscal 2027 and 2028 than in 2026 which is an escalation from last quarter’s “tight beyond 2027.” Thats huge since a lot of the $40B+ capex is going into buildings and cleanrooms now while new supply needed to ease the shortage still takes years to arrive.
$MU ABSOLUTELY CRUSHED THEIR EARNINGS • Revenue $54.2B vs Est. $51.5B • EPS $33.42 vs Est. $31.82 • Net Income $38.4B vs Est. $36.2B • Gross Margin 87% vs Est. 86% Q1 Guidance • Revenue $62B vs Est. $58B • EPS $38.15 vs Est. $35.92 • Gross Margin 86% vs Est. 86%

Critics of AI code resort to name calling. "Slop", "Clanker" banning ai projects from participating in Reddit / discord, etc. But look here. Using AI agents, I made a real, serious programming language from scratch in eight months. By myself. Before AI, this would have taken a dozen engineers 2-3 years. You just can't argue with the power. Yes there are issues that require realignment of expectations and mitigation. But to try to deny this revolution outright, pretend it's not happening - is just throwing in the towel and giving the game to your ai augmented competitors.
"Slop" has become a comfort blanket for a cohort of programmers stuck somewhere between anger and bargaining on their way to acceptance. There might be some kicking and screaming, maybe a little crying, but eventually you have to let the blanket go and update your priors.

SeatGeek is another good example of how AI replaces tasks first while pushing people toward higher value work.
🤝 Paid partnership
I was on @CNBC Squawk Box with one of our customers, @JackGretz, the CEO of @SeatGeek to talk about how they used Serval to eliminate the ticket backlog and redeploy their engineers as embedded business partners. ⚡ 50% of IT requests automated in first 60 days ⚡ 132 automations built in 8 weeks ⚡ Zero layoffs. Hiring this year already ahead of all of last year ⚡ IT time redeployed to solve harder problems When you automate the low-hanging tasks, the support requests and the password resets, you can take the most technical people in your organization and deploy them into work that's more productive than what they were doing before. Full clip below. 👇 @getserval
