We do more than build 🛠️ At Precision Timber, we’re best known for our timber playground equipment and outdoor space transformations. But did you know we also offer repairs and maintenance? From worn or damaged equipment to products needing a little TLC, our team can help keep your outdoor spaces safe, functional, and ready for play. And the best part? Your equipment doesn’t have to be from us. Last week, we visited @farmergirlsam to carry out some repairs on their trim trail items, as well as deliver some new playground equipment (and say hi to their horses)! So, whether we installed it or not, we’re here to give your playground a new lease of life, because every great outdoor space deserves to be enjoyed for years to come. #PrecisionTimber #PlaygroundRepairs #PlaygroundMaintenance #PlaygroundDesign #OutdoorPlay

Something new is rolling around our workshop... Our workshop team are currently busy bringing a bespoke ball run to life, with plenty of timber taking shape behind the scenes. From the first cuts to the final assembly, there’s a lot that goes into creating any bespoke piece of play equipment, but particularly this complex structure. There’s still a way to go before this project reaches the site at GreenWood Family Park, but we’re already looking forward to seeing it in action. For now, here’s a little peek behind the scenes. #PrecisionTimber #GreenWoodFamilyPark #BespokePlayground #TimberEquipment #MadeWithRobinia

Last week, OPAL hosted their North Regional Meeting, where schools in the region can come together to develop a culture where play is valued, embedded, and enables children to have amazing playtimes every single day. As part of the event, they held a prize draw for some of our offcuts and other materials. The winning schools were Cherry Burton Primary School, @KingswoodParksP, and @wearenewington. We’re proud to support these events and local schools with our offcuts, and we’re looking forward to seeing what they get up to with their new goodies! 🙈 #PrecisionTimber #CherryBurtonSchool #KingswoodParksSchool #LiftNewingtonAcademy #SustainableOffcuts

This week all our teams came together for a whole company meeting, where we share ideas, reflect on recent projects, and look ahead to what’s next. It was a chance to catch up and make sure we’re all heading in the same direction. From the workshop and site teams to project management, design, sales, and marketing, there’s a lot that goes into bringing each project to life. We see strong collaboration, teamwork, and communication as central to progress and success. Another productive week done. Now for the weekend! 👏 #PrecisionTimber #TeamMeeting #Collaboration #Teamwork #Communication

Last week, we completed our recent installation with Bank End Primary Academy! We transformed their underused outdoor area into an inspiring reading garden, where their children can have adventures with their favourite fictional characters and let their imaginations flourish. As always, our design process kept the requirements of the space in mind: we created seating and planters around the pre-existing trees to provide extra functionality in the area. Bank End Primary Academy is now home to a brand new inspiring and creative reading garden. If you’re looking to begin a similar project, contact us today! #PrecisionTimber #BankEndPrimaryAcademy #ReadingGarden #OutdoorLearning #MadeWithRobinia

👨‍🏫 Happy World Teachers’ Day! 👩‍🏫 Today, we’re celebrating the teachers who go above and beyond to inspire, encourage, and support children every day. From inspiring learning in the classroom to encouraging exploration and activity in the playground, teachers play a huge role in creating opportunities for children to learn, grow, and have fun. We’re proud to help create spaces that make that possible. Here’s to all the teachers who make a difference, every single day! #PrecisionTimber #WorldTeachersDay #ThankATeacher #OutdoorLearning #OutdoorPlay

Our fourth and most recent bespoke playground installation with @forestholidays was at their Strathyre site in Scotland. It features four distinct robinia structures, bringing the area to life with a range of active play options: a bespoke scramble stack, a challenging adventure tower, a custom climbing frame, and a rope basket swing. The installation creates a vibrant ‘adventure-first’ environment that encourages guests to explore the landscape through outdoor play and keeps them coming back for more! #PrecisionTimber #ForestHolidays #BespokePlayground #ActivePlay #MadeInYorkshire

We work to transform underutilised outdoor areas into bespoke environments that facilitate active play, growth, and development. We recently worked with St John’s C.E. School to transform their unused space into an area that fosters creativity, curiosity, and imagination. If you have an unused and wasted outdoor space, then contact us, and we’ll help you bring it to life. #PrecisionTimber #StJohnsSchool #BespokePlayground #RobiniaTimber #MadeInYorkshire

Outdoor play and learning don’t have to stop when summer does 🍂 As we enter autumn, with the leaves browning and the temperature dropping, outdoor spaces take on a whole new character, with plenty still to explore, learn, and enjoy. Our hardwood robinia products are built to withstand all weather conditions, allowing children to connect with nature in every season. From outdoor learning environments to natural forest playgrounds, we’re proud to create spaces that can be enjoyed all year round. #PrecisionTimber #Autumn #BespokePlayground #OutdoorClassroom #NaturalEnvironment

One of our most rewarding partnerships has been working with Forest Holidays. We’ve worked at several of their sites, installing individual products and bespoke playgrounds to enhance their offerings. This playground, at their Ardgartan Argyll site in Scotland, features a challenging adventure tower, various integrated climbing features, and a low rope basket. This ensures children have a range of options for active play, as well as the choice for resting and more quiet activities. We thoroughly enjoyed bringing this project to life and give our warmest thanks to @forestholidays for the opportunity to work with them on this. #PrecisionTimber #ForestHolidays #BespokePlayground #ActivePlay #MadeInYorkshire

We build it. We install it. We test it. 👀 Our team aren’t just experts at designing and installing equipment; they’re also experts at putting them to the test! When you spend every day creating playgrounds, it’s only natural to want to try them out too! And who can blame them? Our products are designed to provide active play for everyone 🛝 #PrecisionTimber #TrimTrail #ScrambleStack #TimberBench #ActivePlay

Each and every one of our products is handcrafted with durable timber to last for generations. We installed this Ryedale Pod at Worsbrough Common Primary School at the beginning of 2023. This pod creates a sheltered, relaxing, and inviting space for students and staff alike. Over three years later, it’s still standing tall, offering shelter, and providing a welcoming environment for relaxing and socialising. Returning to see our installations years after completion is so rewarding; it shows the long-lasting impact our work and projects have. Projects like this are why we do what we do. #PrecisionTimber #WorsbroughPrimary #RyedaleShelter #RelaxingPod #DurableTimber
