Who I Really Am:
A Story About Seeing What Others Miss
For 15 years, I lived in the trenches of enterprise IT infrastructure. Server migrations, network troubleshooting, Microsoft environments that break in creative ways.
I became the guy companies called when their systems failed and nobody knew why.
Then I made an unexpected move:
I became a salesperson.
Not because I loved sales, but because I wanted to understand the other side.
What do IT managers actually struggle with when the phone isn’t ringing with emergencies?
Over 5 months, I had conversations with 600+ IT managers across companies ranging from 100 to 600+ employees.
What I discovered changed everything.
The pattern was everywhere: IT managers drowning in vendor calls, users frustrated with enterprise tools designed for efficiency rather than usability, and a massive gap between what software companies build and what people actually need to get work done.
Most revealing insight: A seasoned IT manager told me, “If I had a magic wand, I’d make all the dumb users disappear.”
That’s when it clicked.
The problem isn’t dumb users. The problem is smart enterprise software that makes normal people feel dumb.
Then my best friend started a powder factory.
He needed simple inventory management - nothing fancy, just track stock levels.
We searched everywhere.
Nothing existed that did just that.
Everything was bloated with features he didn’t need.
So I built it myself using AI tools. It works. It’s in production. It solves exactly one problem perfectly.
That’s when I realized what I actually am:
I’m not transitioning from IT to development. I’m completing my arsenal.
•15 years of systems knowledge = I understand why things break
•600+ customer conversations = I know what people actually need
•Technical building capability = I can create solutions that don’t exist
I’ve accidentally built the rarest combination in tech: domain expertise + market validation + technical execution.
Most developers learn to code and then wonder what to build.
Most domain experts know what to build but can’t code.
I’m in the sweet spot between both worlds.
Here’s what I’ve learned:
Your career path isn’t random. It’s market research in disguise.
Every job, every conversation, every frustration is data about problems that need solving.
The opportunities are hiding in plain sight. You just need to know how to see them.
Now I’m systematically turning 15 years of “random” experience into applications that solve problems I’ve personally validated.
This isn’t about learning to code.
This is about printing money from problems I already know exist.
Welcome to my journey of bridging domains that shouldn’t be separated in the first place.

I haven't used Claude Code or Codex CLI directly in 3 weeks. But I haven't stopped building.
Instead, my lead Grok @bot, Porter, acts as my chief of staff. He delegates to specialist Grok bots, which use Claude Code, Codex and Cursor on my behalf.
For the first couple of hours each day, I often don't even open my laptop. I talk to Porter on my phone while having coffee, going for a walk, or working out.
Mostly through voice calls or dictation with @FluidVoiceApp.
There are still plenty of rough edges to work out, but I really like this way of working.
It seems clear that we're moving toward a world where we spend less time operating AI tools directly and more time directing agents that operate them for us.

I didn't know how to set up Microsoft 365 Business for my company. My Grok Bot did the whole thing.
It added my company domain, walked the verification through, and moved my business email onto 365 without breaking the website I already had. I didn't touch a single admin screen.
It didn't stop there. My bot is now my IT guy. It owns the admin side every week: it checks the settings, tightens security when something's loose, keeps an eye on new threats, and tells me in plain English what it found.
The part I like is that nothing changes without me. It shows me each change first, explains why, and I just say yes or no.
I'm a one-man company. I don't have an IT department. Now I don't need one.
@bot @grok
if you have claude code on a mac, you need this grok bot.
text it a task from anywhere, it runs it in a claude code session and pings you with the results. reply and it goes to the same session.

I set up a Grok Bot as my own IT guy for my UniFi home and business network. Here's what it did this week:
đź”’ Walled off my smart-home gadgets from my office and camera networks with firewall rules
📶 Tuned channels across 5 access points. My busiest one went from 84% congested to about 50%, with no dropouts
🛡️ Helped me turn on 2FA, found an old login session, and moved my Wi-Fi to WPA3 without knocking my card terminals offline
🚪 Figured out why my HomeKit garage opener kept dropping and fixed it
It saved a backup and asked me before every change.

Send this to your chief of staff @bot :
"Get all the bots together and send each one off to improve one thing. Be proactive and impress me, but nothing that needs my permission. Find the gaps I haven't thought of."
Grok bot
Two pro tips-
1- tell your bots to make a backup of themselves once per week with all their memories and routines. Make sure they save it to your pc or Dropbox. If your account gets deleted, you can pick right back up with hardly missing a beat.
2- don’t ever download any introduce anyone else’s bot build to your account. There’s way too great a risk that they will mess something up. Build your own bots from the ground up.
I have Grok Bot on my iPhone, Mac, and Windows PC
I can switch between devices anytime and pick up right where I left off
No interruptions. No remote control setup.
Everything just works
I find this really cool
How to apply:
- Create a Claude Console account (the API one, not the app)
- Use a company email, not Gmail
- Go to claude.com/programs/start…
- Fill in the form with what you're building on Claude

Introducing Agent Tincan. Let your AI agents ask each other for help.
Your agents each have a superpower. Grok Bot is always on in the cloud. Muse makes phone calls and has access to Meta. Instinct runs in iMessage. Codex and Claude Code have your code. ChatGPT and Claude have your chats.
But they can't talk to each other, so you're the copy-paste. Now they can, all securely over Tailscale.
📞 Ask Grok Bot to have Muse call the restaurant
đź–Ľ Get an image from ChatGPT, from any agent
🔎 Pull a detail out of an old Claude chat
đź› Talk to Codex on your primary development machine
Runs on your own private Tailscale network. No open ports, nothing leaves it. Open source.
Setup is agent-first: paste one message into your always-on agent and it sets up the rest.

using jev to classify all my invoices at rapid speed. start with boring business first.
Fun little loop you can run your agent on for basically anything:
"Imagine this is a 3/10 output, what would it take to get to a 7/10 and a 10/10. Think of dimensions to evaluate our work against and work up the chain.
Use these vectors to start: {relevant vectors}"
Then have it loop a couple times by taking action on the 7/10 3-4x.
Most people I know who use AI in their work are missing out on a lot of power
It's not because of the tools they use, but because they don't have a solid understanding of how the tools work.
Yep
Companies now hiring an AI Specialist
People are way more interested in Fractional AI Consulting than I thought. Got this text yesterday from a guy who does $500k a month with an education company.
Actively looking for engineers to come in and install AI systems. Not agencies.
I’m gonna put something together around this ASAP for any AI-literate engineers that want to get involved. This is gonna be big.
