Travis Proffitt, a JL and safety professional, questions whether just calling 911 is enough in an emergency situation. Electric cardiac arrest can begin within 30 seconds of contact, and without CPR, irreversible brain damage can happen in 4 min. #linemansrodeokc @tdworldmag

Co-op crews are out in it this morning. Ice is a slow motion disaster. It slowly accumulates, weighing down lines & trees. Even after freezing rain stops, that weight, compounded by wind gusts, continues to stress the system. Please keep these crews in your prayers!
We have scattered outages throughout the service territory this morning. Crews are working to restore power as quickly as possible!

One of our linemen shared his hard hat — completely iced over from Winter Storm Fern. 🧊 Ice may look harmless, but it’s dangerous: Just ½ inch of ice can add up to 500 lbs to a power line. 🪾Ice buildup can snap trees and branches. 🛠️ It makes already tough work even harder. Safety always comes first. We’re out there when it’s safe, working for you. 📸 Taken by our Alpharetta crews.
