Most collecting happens after value is established. This conversation examines what happens before, when a patron commits to an artist's vision not because the market has confirmed it but because the work demands it. Sam Spratt has spent years building an expanding narrative universe across music, image, and on-chain work. Benjamin Gross bet on that vision early and has sustained that commitment over time. Judy Mam has been both a catalyst and a witness to the relationship between artists and collectors that now defines the digital art community.
Together they trace what it means to collect as an act of cultural conviction rather than market logic and what that kind of relationship makes possible for the art itself.
