Last night was a celebration of @cfmmuk - an absolutely game-changing organisation for Muslims in the UK. They hold the media to account and correct the narrative. @hzomlot @miqdaad & Rizwana Hamid all shared inspirational accounts of the impact of CFMMUK.

Social security is a human right. Cutting it is a political choice. One that will hurt the most marginalised.

I see experts warning & writing about the mainstreaming of the far right. It's already happened & should not have taken a nazi salute to see it. If you think counterextremism or liberal centrism are solutions, you have not been paying attention. Better late than never though.

The blatant Islamophobia from this 🤡 It's obviously not new... But just so blatant!
There cannot be a valid opposition party in the UK with @ZiaYusufUK anywhere near it. A Britain focused party cannot have a Mohammedan as the chair. Islam is not your friend if you believe in free speech, family and British culture. You cannot buy us. We are not for sale.

This #Ramadan, we are going to showcase best practice and unsung heroes... First up, @LICSMosque in Haringay. Just before the start of the Holy Month, they prepped meals for their local NHS staff at North Middlesex Hospital.

Know your rights at work during Ramadan. It is within the Equality Act 2010 for all employers to ensure flexible working and provide reasonable adjustments for workers wishing to observe Ramadan. Wishing everyone a blessed month.

The University of Hertfordshire conducted a feasibility study exploring the British Islamic Medical Association’s (BIMA) culturally adapted, “faith-placed” educational intervention aimed at increasing the uptake of bowel cancer screening in Muslim communities. The results suggested that the intervention was more effective than conventional cancer screening campaigns in conveying the health message. As of January 2025, the bowel cancer screening age has been reduced to 50, as per new NHS England guidelines. eu1.hubs.ly/H0gSzXt0
