Our thoughts and prayers to everyone involved in this tragedy. How absolutely devastating.
A catastrophic blast at Canadian Forces Base Wainwright, Alberta has reportedly resulted in multiple fatalities and injuries during a live fire military training operation. According to local sources on base, Canadian Forces personnel had been conducting exercises over several days when an artillery projectile reportedly struck an active natural gas well on the bombing range, triggering a massive detonation. The blast is said to have levelled nearby tactical training buildings, with subsequent fires reaching munitions storage and setting off secondary detonations across the range. The geography and infrastructure; ➟ CFB Wainwright has a documented history of natural gas production, with approximately 180 wells reported on the military property in 2014. ➟ Military range maps identify munitions storage, pipelines and designated live fire danger areas near Peterson Pond. ➟ NASA FIRMS satellite imagery recorded multiple thermal hotspots between Peterson Pond and Jamieson Lake on October 17. Local accounts also describe hospitals activating Code Orange protocols, mobilizing stretchers and preparing for a significant influx of casualties. The reported gas well strike, secondary detonations and hospital emergency measures remain unconfirmed as authorities investigate the incident. Should these reports be confirmed, my thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved and affected.

Sharing a portion of my story alongside others who have experienced burning sensations after the COVID-19 vaccine. In this compilation by @Tribunal_infaux, witnesses from the Allison Inquiry open up about what they went through. Every single testimony represents a real person's life, and each story deserves to be heard with empathy and respect. As many of you know, the Canadian courts haven't permitted my class action lawsuit for the vaccine injured to proceed. That makes independent testimonies like these at the Allison Inquiry even more critical. When legal avenues are shut down, our shared stories become our strength. I will NEVER stop advocating for the vaccine injured like me.

“MY LIFE HAS BECOME VERY SMALL” — FIVE YEARS IN SURVIVAL MODE Once an avid hiker and communications director with the World Health Organization, Patricia Leidl describes how dramatically her life changed after a devastating health decline following her second Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine dose. Patricia recounts collapsing a week after vaccination, followed by a racing heart, swelling, migraines, hearing loss and POTS. She describes being dismissed in the emergency room, developing further health problems, spending approximately $250,000 on care, and losing friendships. Five years later, she describes a life narrowed by ongoing suffering and the feeling that people chose not to believe her. Her testimony raises difficult questions about how people who report serious health problems are treated, heard and supported. IT SOMETIMES TAKES COURAGE TO ADMIT YOU WERE WRONG Guillaume Déziel, a former CBC-Radio Canada contributor and now a member of a cryptocurrency think tank called Les Déchaînés, explains that it took him some time to realise he might have been misled during the pandemic. He offers a public apology to those he dismissed or looked down upon for questioning the mainstream narrative, admitting that he even blocked certain people on Facebook because their views did not align with his own. He explains that Rodney Palmer’s testimony before the Allison Inquiry was a real wake-up call, raising serious questions about the CBC’s coverage of the pandemic, including allegations of top-down control of discourse, internal censorship, the treatment of dissenting views, and the use of language intended to discredit those who challenged the prevailing view. It sometimes takes time to realise that one has been misled. The important thing is to admit your mistake — and to try to put things right. We got 99 problems but house arrest ain’t one… The first time I spoke to Chris on the phone, January 13, 2022, he showed himself to be a man who cared about his country, his industry, and his fellow Canadians. He was level headed, had a great sense of humour, and knew, like the rest of us, that something was inherently wrong with Canada and he decided to do something about it. Neither of us could have ever imagined that almost 5 years later we would still be fighting for our lives and our freedom. We’ve made some friends, found a family, and lost some dead weight along the way. We’ve hit many milestones together and today marks another. Our 24/7 house arrest has come to a close and we have moved into the curfew portion of our sentences. Mine will be complete January 21, 2027 and Chris’s will wrap up in April. I couldn’t be more proud to call this man my friend, my co-accused, and my Saskatchewan brother from another mother. I couldn’t be more proud to stand along side him throughout this incredible journey we’ve found ourselves on. He’s had my back since day one and is one of a handful left whom I can count on, who I know will never stab me in the back. Here’s to another milestone @ChrisBarber1975! Still standing and I’m still so proud of you and all you have accomplished and have had to sacrifice as a result. Absolutely no regrets!

“The right of the people to discuss and debate ideas forms the very foundation of democracy.” Those are not my words. They are words written by judges of the Supreme Court of Canada in Harper v. Canada. Yet something deeply unhealthy is happening in our public discourse. The right to question power is not a threat to democracy. It is the very thing that keeps democracy alive. So go ahead—be a bit of a rebel-rouser. Get educated. Get involved. Ask tough questions. Make those in power uncomfortable. History remembers those who stood up and helped move society forward. Holding government accountable is not radical. It is not disloyal. It is not merely our right. It is our duty. The question is no longer whether you are allowed to stand up. The question is: will you?
Asking a question is not treason. Silencing the debate isn’t democracy. Albertans have the right to advocate for independence. The Supreme Court already treated secession as a lawful democratic question. @echipiuk’s full speech at We Unify 2026

House Arrest Countdown - 2 days left of being locked down 24/7 for peacefully protesting lockdowns. We’ll miss feigning shock and horror watching non-Canadians, violent criminals, sexual assaulters, drug dealers, human traffickers, and repeat offenders serving less (or no) time than a couple of western Canadians have for “mischief”. @ChrisBarber1975 @18houseHouse

A Call for Canada to Support the Vaccine Injured and Move Together Toward Closure from a Pandemic We All Want to Forget ~ by Nelly Shin "The lack of government interest and will to help post pandemic patients, whether vaccine injured or those struggling with other COVID related illnesses is grossly negligent. The government opted to handle the pandemic with a heavy hand and enforced drastic lockdowns and mandates that collapsed businesses, and tested the mental health and freedom of Canadians—all in the name of saving lives. How, then, can the government and Canada’s health authorities now be so quick to turn a blind eye to those who need support in the aftermath?" "There’s a chill around anything COVID-related that makes physicians reluctant to engage in potentially controversial conversations that might cost them their practice. Patients with pandemic related illnesses feel abandoned. They have no choice but to forage the internet for self-help or look to secret lists of doctors willing to treat them. But when they do find alternatives, their medical choices are discredited... So what on earth are the injured supposed to do? Go hide in the corner and just wilt? Where is the dignity of the medical profession? Does freedom of conscience still exist?" These are excerpts from a Substack article by former Member of Parliament Nelly Shin. Canada’s invocation of the Emergencies Act was found to be illegal. Alberta’s public health orders were found to be illegal. Governments demanded compliance of the vax “for the public good.” Then they abandoned the injured. Where are the consequences for those in power? Where is the recognition of the harm done to the people? How do those involved have the audacity to lecture citizens about responsibility when they have yet to answer for their own decisions? And how are we supposed to trust leaders who demand accountability from everyone but themselves? You cannot convince me they are working for the people while they fight so hard to avoid accountability and refuse to acknowledge those harmed. Public office is not a shield from consequences. Those who refuse to answer for their mistakes or the harm they caused have no business holding power or lecturing the rest of us about right and wrong.

The Emergencies Act case has gone to conference at the Supreme Court. Typically, it takes one month for the conference to decide if they will grant the case leave. So we expect the Supreme Court will announce the decision on whether they will hear the case in mid-October. Sign up to be the first to know when we have a decision: theccf.ca/emergenciesactupda…

Can’t wait to read your book @CarrieSak Thank you to you and @echipiuk for standing your ground.
I spent years in court ,fighting for the injected injured alongside Eva Chipiuk. We knew taking on the government was a long shot, but we refused to stay silent. What started as a lonely fight grew into a massive community. Over the last five years, I’ve met incredible allies,U.S. Senators, MPs, MLAs, doctors, lawyers, and human rights activists. Speaking on Parliament Hill was a milestone I’ll never forget. I think it made a difference. At the end of the day, I can tell my kids that I stood up and fought for government accountability with everything I had. I’m writing a book! 📕 There is so much more to come, stay tuned. The legal documents will be public shortly.

PRESS RELEASE - Statement on the Sakamoto Class Action Decision We are deeply disappointed by the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta’s decision to dismiss the application to certifySakamoto v Attorney General of Canada, a proposed class action against the Government of Canada and the Province of Alberta. Carrie Sakamoto suffered life-altering injuries after receiving COVID vaccines. The decision records the position she advanced in seeking accountability: “Ms. Sakamoto submits that in this context, the Defendants assumed a duty of care to an identifiable group by holding themselves out as authoritative, by enforcing coercive public health orders and by compelling participation in a de facto mandated vaccine program. She submits that the effect of the Defendants’ fear-based messaging and public restrictions amounted to compulsion to get vaccinated; she submits that the Defendants eliminated the conditions needed for informed choice and exceeded their statutory authority.” The Court concluded that the claims as pleaded do not disclose viable causes of action and dismissed the application to proceed as a class action. This means the class action will not provide an open examination of the decisions public officials and agencies made, the representations they gave the public, and the pressure they placed on people to follow their directives. Class actions give people a way to seek answers together and, where wrongdoing is established, change harmful behaviour. Public trust suffers when people cannot meaningfully examine the conduct of their governments or hold public officials and agencies to account. Carrie and other vaccine-injured people, along with the public, still deserve a transparent investigation and answers. “To say I am devastated is an understatement. We poured our hearts, our health, and our truth into this effort, not just for ourselves, but for every single person who felt unheard, unsupported, and left behind. Hearing that our case won't proceed feels like a massive setback, and it hurts deeply, said Ms. Sakamoto. "While this legal door may have closed, it does not erase our stories, our pain, or the reality of what we’ve experienced. Standing up for truth and advocacy is never easy, but doing it alongside this incredible community has been a powerful reminder that none of us are truly alone. “Thank you to everyone who supported us, shared their stories, stood by our side, and kept believing in this effort,” Ms. Sakamoto added. “I will forever be an advocate for the vaccine injured like me, and I will continue to work with Canrise19 and their efforts to help the injured.” “People who took the vaccine for the public good should not be abandoned by the governments that demanded their compliance,” said Eva Chipiuk, counsel for Ms. Sakamoto. “Carrie and others who suffered serious injuries deserve compassionate care, timely support, and answers about the decisions that affected their lives.” “Class actions can give people a way to seek answers together and change harmful behaviour where wrongdoing is established,” Chipiuk added. “Public trust suffers when people cannot meaningfully examine government conduct or hold public officials and agencies to account. We are disappointed that Carrie and other vaccine-injured people will not have that opportunity through this class action.” The federal vaccine injury support program has been an abject failure for people like Carrie, and its replacement has yet to deliver the timely, compassionate support they need. Carrie described her experience with the federal program in her evidence as “dehumanizing and at times abusive.” We urge the Government of Alberta to establish its own vaccine injury support program. Quebec has administered a provincial vaccine injury compensation program since 1985. Alberta should take responsibility for supporting vaccine-injured Albertans and provide timely care, practical assistance, and fair compensation to those in need.
