Well, what an amazing time we had at the Midsummer Garden Poetry Festival last weekend! We can't thank all our wonderful poets enough - they showed the whole range of how people today read, write and relate to poetry, and the wide range of people who enjoy poetry. 1/2
Our poets included @tomharding99, @korrin_sw, @KezzabellePoet, @HMTruscott, Ian McEwen, @CommaJane, David Oram, everyone who performed at the open mic, and last but very definitely not least, Carol Ann Duffy herself. @EmmaWise100 was our compere, and Sam Porteous made it happen!
If you like a poetry festival (of course you do!), then here's another wonderful one to take a look at this summer. Coventry, 15th-17th July.
It has arrived and it's beautiful! The full festival programme for 15th-17th July @BelgradeTheatre is packed with poets, performers & workshop tutors to inspire & entertain. Tickets now on sale:skylinescoventry.co.uk/all-e…
Thank you @writingwestmids & @ace_national

Did you know that a pioneering US poet was born in Northampton in 1612? Anne Bradstreet was one of the first women in America to write and publish poetry - still read at weddings today "If ever two were one, then surely we. / If ever man were loved by wife, then thee."
Will Anne Bradstreet's words be some of the poetry shared at the Midsummer Garden Poetry Festival Open Mic? After all, we're a Northampton poetry festival ourselves! Join us and find out bit.ly/3MDLaLx
Yoga? Poetry? Yoga WITH poetry? Experience poetry in new ways at the Midsummer Garden Poetry Festival this June. And if yoga with poetry overheats your brain, leap into the garden pond to cool off - everyone else will be! bit.ly/3OCqGUX
