How does a poet become remembered for being forgotten?
Fredegond Shove (1889–1949) was praised by critics and was the first woman included in Georgian Poetry. Now she’s an emblem of literary neglect. Curiously, recent writers invoke her when writing about forgotten poets. 1/8
These arrived together. Poetry London continues to be one of the classiest magazines under Niall Campbell and Candlestick have proved that people will buy poetry if it's packaged thoughtfully

A great pleasure to discover neglected California poet Henri Coulette in this excellent selection from @Carcanet edited by @BorisDralyuk and Michael Caines

Unbelievably sad that the glorious Felicity Lott has passed. There have been many great sopranos, but few had the radiant intelligence of this extraordinary musical legend.

I will be releasing a 1-hour documentary on Weldon Kees.
It will be the most comprehensive video material ever on Kees who I consider a major but forgotten American poet.
This film grew out of 50+ years of personal study and research.
My hope is the documentary brings Kees' work to a wider audience.
