After deep discussion with the awesome folk who attended the @PlayingA_Part #BeyondStereotypes conference, we have decided that since there are so many prerecorded ones now, we need conference gag reels! 🤣

Finally caught up on today's #BeyondStereotypes conference and this has been one of the best conferences I have ever been part of, both as a presenter & as a delegate. I have learnt so much from everyone and feel reenergised as a result. Thanks @PlayingA_Part & all at the conf.😻

A creative interpretation of #weirdpride and the focus of my PhD about craft and interest based / flow states. Each yarn is part of my journey representing challenges and opportunities my diagnosis has created, #morethanwords #BeyondStereotypes

I’d like to think I’m a good mum and she’s a happy kid so I’m doing something right. It’s been a joy to watch her grow and learn all the ways we are different and similar. The sensory stuff can be hard but the loving with my whole heart part is easy.

Interesting and sad findings from Judith Hebron from her very recent study of school staff perception of autism - 96% of the 260 respondents felt that autistic girls had poor mental health.

I'm interested in what happens if some of these more distal and implicit norms aren't imposed. How does that shape possibilities for autistic people if those are norms that might be constraining?
