People say “reach out if you’re struggling”
but when you do, they disappear.
They watch your status.
They scroll past your pain.
They protect their comfort instead of your life.
And then if the worst happens
those same people post tributes.
“I wish I’d known.”
“They were such a kind soul.”
“Check on your friends.”
But we did reach out.
Over and over.
Quietly. Desperately.
We were ignored because our pain was inconvenient, messy, or didn’t fit the narrative.

When I turned 18 I was so excited to register to vote. I registered as a Rep even though all of my friends were Dems. I got a few mean comments but in the end we respected that we had differing opinions. Now I feel lost. It seems like both parties have lost their minds.
Got a new neighbor. Apparently I can't take the dogs out in my underwear at 2am anymore. I don't know how far the flock cameras can see and record but I really don't want to end up on that leaked video.
