Are you juggling between multiple #Blender versions and addons, develop extensions or teach Blender? You might want to check Blenderbase.
It is our internal tool to launch and download Blender, symlink addons.
Available for Win, Mac and Linux, it is free and open source.

Physically accurate atmospheric refraction just added in my #Blender addon Atmosphere² Core version. Rendered in Eevee.

Octavia VRS made with Distantlightsfx and @_martinsh new physical atmosphere2 in #b3d #blender3d #animation
We are currently exploring using compute shaders. This would improve consistency between Windows and macOS, and in our current tests, it is twice as fast. We are still evaluating all of the implications of this new approach. If we succeed, we'll launch it in the next week or two.

I haven't seen anything like that in Blender. A physical atmosphere sim (that works in EEVEE and lets you do eclipses and stuff) and lets you *zoom out to space*, basically?
p.s. Ah, it's developed by the creators of Flow. Now it makes sense.

It is made by @_martinsh . If you want to follow up the progress feel free to join our Discord with super-active #pa² chat (discord.com/channels/9137998…)
Version 2.7.0
— Cycles & Eevee render outputs now match viewport
— Major Cycles performance improvements (still CPU-bound)
— Completely new Ground System (grids, texture system, reflections)
..and more

That is the first thing we'll do after making sure that Physical Atmosphere² runs smoothly on every Win/Mac/Linux & Eevee & Cycles 👌 @JUST_A_STUDIO

We'll be sharing:
* new releases
* the engineering behind our features
* lessons we learn along the way
Follow along.

Hey Carlos! Yes - clouds work on Eevee ~ 15FPS on high settings using RTX4080 and ofcourse works on Cycles as well.
Version 2.6.4
Since launch in Friday we have made many improvements based on your feedback. 🚀
— Major performance improvements for Clouds
— Bug fixes on MacOS related to framebuffer
— Quality switches are ~5x faster
... and more

Physical Atmosphere² adds insanely detailed skies to #Blender scenes
The add-on generates true spectral atmospheres, complete with ozone, atmospheric pollution, and even a 'stupidly advanced mode' for power users

On Friday, we launched version 2 of our most popular addon PSA. Now with volumetric clouds. Moon. Eclipses. And many more, never before seen features. Written from scratch and fully based on physics and research.
Welcome to Physical Atmosphere² beta

We will still maintain both addons. Both addons have been developed with completely different technology (according to the possibilities of the time) and provide different features. We see PA2 as a successor to PSA, but it has a way to go to become - Production Ready.
current status:
Clouds & Atmosphere live playback in #Blender viewport from a random location on Earth (thus the weird camera angle)
High settings ~18fps at 4k on rtx4080.
You can get Atmosphere² on Superhive only.

Crazy impressive #b3d tech.
I’m on a vacation - first time in a long time. I can finally show something I’ve been working on for years.
This is the next big step after my first #Blender addon - Physical Starlight & Atmosphere, launched almost 7 years ago (!)
Let me introduce you the tech behind it. 🧵

Then Scattering and Transmittance is rendered in separate buffers. Now I can multiply your blender scene with the transmittance and add scattering on top! Voila!
That’s enough for now.
If you have anything particular to ask, feel free to. I will gladly delve into details.
Exactly this.
That's us! 🌍
The Artemis II crew captured beautiful, high-resolution images of our home planet during their journey to the Moon. As @Astro_Christina put it: "You guys look great."

ALT A full disk image of Earth, as seen from the Orion capsule. The planet is a pale blue, swirling with white clouds and glowing slightly lighter blue in place from reflected light. From about 8 to 9 o'clock, a large brown landmass is Africa, with the Iberian peninsula twinkling with lights just where the planet curves. At the 1 o'clock spot, aurora glow in a thin green glow, just barely separated from the planet's surface. Earth is set against the black of space. Credit: NASA/Reid Wiseman
