Academic writing rule I wish someone told me earlier:
Your discussion should feel like a chat with the field's top expert.
Not a lecture.
Not a list of findings.
A conversation about what comes next.

The best academic papers don't just fill knowledge gaps.
They reframe entire conversations.
Instead of asking "What hasn't been studied?"
Ask "What have we been studying wrong?"
That shift in perspective is what turns incremental research into novel work.

The vast majority of patients with #CHD have Lp(a) levels far below what is considered a typical risk-enhancing threshold, suggesting that the attributable risk from Lp(a) is more complex than previously perceived.
