This is abhorrent, morally, and politically stupid @MikeRogersForMI.
So, Mike Rogers is saying, in essence, that Abdul El-Sayed and the Democrats are right on abortion and he's now with them. This from a guy with a near perfect pro-life voting record in the House of Representatives. Not exactly a profile in courage! 1/

Pretty sure I’m in early labor, but I wasn’t about to miss voting in Virginia. Two older women tried to hand me a Democrat sample ballot and asked if I knew about the constitutional amendments. Ladies, I’m 9 months pregnant. You picked the WRONG woman. I told them I knew exactly what was on the ballot and that I was disgusted, absolutely disgusted. Every baby has value. Every baby deserves the right to life. And I’ll fight for their lives just as fiercely as I’d fight for my own. So I waddled into that voting booth, contractions and all, and voted NO on Amendment 1. Abortion should NEVER be a constitutional right.

Well, another Cardinal has come out with a, shall we say, puzzling take on evangelization. A few years ago, Cardinal Américo Aguiar, at the time auxiliary bishop of Lisbon, said that he and the other organizers of World Youth Day in his hometown had no interest in converting anyone to Christ. Now Cardinal Jean-Paul Vesco of Algeria has opined that “the Church is not there to convert” and “Christians should approach other religions through fraternity rather than seeking conversions.” Excuse me, but…what? Last time I checked, the Founder said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” Sure sounds like conversion to me. When St. Paul came to Corinth or Athens or Thessalonica, his purpose was not to listen or to form a discussion group but rather to declare an unnerving message: the euangelion (glad tidings) that Jesus Christ is risen from the dead. So impassioned is he for this work that he says, “I have become all things to all people, that I might by all means save some. I do it all for the sake of the gospel” (1 Cor. 9:22); and “If I proclaim the gospel, this gives me no ground for boasting, for an obligation is laid on me, and woe to me if I do not proclaim the gospel” (1 Cor. 9:16)! Moreover, the entire thrust of the Second Vatican Council was toward bringing the Light of Christ to the peoples of the world (Lumen Gentium). And this missionary élan has given rise in the last few decades to the idea of a “new evangelization,” which is to say, a fresh declaration of the Lordship of Christ. Quite obviously, no one thinks that this work of evangelization should be done in a brow-beating, overbearing, or disrespectful manner (proselytization), but for God’s sake, let’s not throw the baby out with the bathwater. If I really thought that the Church does not exist to bring people to Christ, then I would resign and get an honest job.

This last week I spent some time on the Ohio Department of Health's website. So far this year in Ohio there already has been 21,725 abortions, that we know about (the accessibility of the abortion pill online makes it hard to track all abortions). That is roughly 2,414 abortions every single month. If current trends continue we'll have 28,966 abortions this year in Ohio. That would mean a 15 percent increase from last year and mark two straight years with a 15 percent increase since we passed the abortion amendment into our State Constitution. Nothing is taking more human life, than abortion. This is not just one issue among many. The right to life is the first foundational right. Without a right to life you do not have a right to immigrate, access health care, get a good education, or pursue a good job. In sum, if the right to life is not defended with maximum determination, and we continue to kill our children, than a culture of life which respects all peoples will never be built. It's sad to me that many of our churches don't touch this "controversial" issue but once a year, and its sad to me that on the campaign trail its just a political talking point. But today I plead with you: 1. Pray for the end to abortion. 2. Volunteer + donate at your local pregnancy center. 3. Research where the candidates running for office stand on the issue of the right to life, and vote accordingly. 4. Ask the Lord how He wants you to be engaged in the issue that will define our generation. @CCVPolicy

Well done @aarbaer!!! Great segment on @foxandfriends!!! @CCVPolicy
In case you missed it! @aarbaer explains to @ainsleyearhardt about CEN and @CENSGO and the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity we have to save the next generation by bringing Christian education to families across the United States. If you are wondering how to afford a faith-based education for your children when private tuition feels out of reach, this initiative provides a clear path. Christian Education Network is building a nationwide movement to make Christ-centered education accessible and affordable. Through the new Education Freedom Tax Credit, Americans can redirect their federal tax liabilities directly into scholarships for students at participating K-12 Christian schools. This ensures that providing a biblical worldview in the classroom is no longer limited by your zip code or household budget. Donors can fund these life-changing scholarships at zero net cost to themselves, directly empowering parents to choose the best educational path for their kids. foxnews.com/video/6407338037…

Jesus came “to proclaim liberty to captives, recovery of sight to the blind and release to prisoners, to announce a year of favor from the Lord” (Lk 4:18-19). Jesus brought a perpetual jubilee year of liberation. When Jesus “ascended on high, He took a host of captives and gave gifts to men” (Eph 4:8). Jesus is called the Lamb, which is the symbol of the Israelite nation being freed from the shackles of Egyptian slavery. Jesus is called the Redeemer, that is, the One Who has paid the price to set us free. Jesus is the Truth (Jn 14:6), and the Truth will set us free (Jn 8:32). “That is why, if the Son frees you, you will really be free” (Jn 8:36). Right now, ask Jesus to free you from the shackles of any chains, bondage, compulsions, or addictions. Even if you have had these chains for years, Jesus will free you now. Pray: “Jesus, Lamb, Redeemer, Truth, Lord, Savior, and God, have mercy on me and set me free.” You are free in Jesus. - Laudate

SCOOP: A new attack on @SherrodBrown will hit 250,000 homes tomorrow targeting low propensity Christian voters in Ohio, accusing Brown of paving the way for a Toledo man to obtain abortion drugs online + force them on his pregnant girlfriend.

I would say elections still in fact, matter.
Why in the world does the @OHSAASports ask kids "how do you identify your gender?" on their Physical Evaluation forms?? We passed the Save Women's Sports Act to shut down this nonsense. We need answers from OHSAA NOW.

Perhaps we should begin talking about sex, marriage, contraception, healthy relationships, and baby making from the pulpit and in our ministries? What else but the sexual revolution has caused this dramatic dive?

Friends, some critics say that the phrase “the pursuit of happiness” in the Declaration of Independence indicates that America was founded on individual desire, not the common good. But Jefferson was classically educated, and he would have known that happiness, in the true sense, is bound up with virtue. That’s the opening argument of Aristotle’s “Nicomachean Ethics”: All of us desire happiness, and happiness is the activity of the soul in accord with virtue. Therefore, to speak of “the pursuit of happiness” isn’t to give in to Hobbesian subjectivism; it’s to open the soul to the virtuous pursuit of beatitude. And it’s a phrase worth reclaiming!
