Some easy targets in the Australian XI but no one seems to talk about the generational all rounder. 40 tests invested as a top 6 bat 64 innings for 3 x 100s. Average 34. Bowling 39 wickets at 40 with 1 x 5 for. Don’t worry about the old boys club, this bloke has a gold pass.

Any chance we see the generational all rounder have a bowl?

Need to be careful calling for the complete dismantling of the world #1 cricket team after the grand total of 7 sessions of poor cricket. Still work to do to get back ahead of the game but a great fight back to finally win a couple of sessions

With all the narrative around the breakdown of social cohesion, I’m sure the country can come together in disbelief and outrage at the axing of Scott Boland.

Mate you’re an idiot. He’s past it. Hasn’t averaged about 31 in 3 years. Give a kid a chance

That’s comfortably the most ridiculous bit of cricket umpiring I’ve ever seen. No appeal for a fair catch by the fielding side, no reaction at all as everyone knew it had bounced. But they still refer it. Absolute stupidity and embarrassing for international umpires.

Batting 3 in Tests is a tough task. You have to be careful in discarding someone that’s done it averaging 43 across 66 tests. Marnus’ issues right now are not technical, he’s getting the hardest part done by getting starts. Converting is more a confidence issue. I’d persevere.

Disappointing day but the hysteria is a bit over the top. Let’s not forget: #1 test team, haven’t lost a series since 2022/23. Since then we are 20 wins, 6 losses and 3 draws. As this series stands we are 1-0. Geez we’d be happy if our footy teams had that kind of dominance 😂

This is spot on. He was contracted for a reason, and will likely get his chance again. As with all players who are contracted the offer needed to be a head turner, not fair value.
No issues at all with the Crows holding onto Nick Murray. 2027 picks in a hugely-compromised draft would be cold comfort if Keane or Borlase were to get injured next season, in a massive year for the club and its coach. Ridiculous to call him a SANFL player. The big contract offer from North Melbourne clearly suggests they rate him much higher than that. Would not be surprised at all to see him work his way back into best 23 next year, too.

Pick 4 for McAsey & Pedlar was top tier business 🤣

This is a quote from Justin Reid doing the 2025 Trade Period. Sound familiar? “Guys like Sid Draper after another pre-season under his belt, Dan Curtin who went up to the wing, and who’s a big body and we’ve seen him play midfield as a junior”

The wordiest of word salads
🗣️ Tim Silvers Address: "We've moved beyond rebuilding. "We've established ourselves as a very competitive AFL team, a finals quality team. I genuinely believe we're a good club, but we're not yet a great club. "And the difference between good and great is rarely found at the beginning of the journey. "It's found at the hardest point when expectations rise, when pressure increases, when everyone is asking the question, can you take the next step? "That's where we are right now. We're right in the middle of the most demanding and most important phase of building a premiership winning club. "It's challenging and it's also exciting and it's a challenge that belongs to all of us.

Mitch Harris please.
I understand Crows defender Nick Murray has requested a trade. Only played 11 games this season. 2 years left on his contract Crows will only entertain a favourable deal that doesn’t leave them potentially exposed with Butts joining the Dogs. @FootyonNine @9NewsAdel

Shattered for Freo and their long suffering fans. Didnt think I could dislike a team more than Port, but Lions are absolutely down there.

Well it’s that time of year that Brisbane magically turn into the Fitzroy Lions 🤮. All in on Freo today. A long, hard journey with no northern freebies helping them to a possible 6 flags in 25 years. Hope for a maiden flag for suffering Dockers fans. ⚓️

Are we throwing the kitchen sink at NWM to try and get him home a year early? Would need to be a way over the odds trade offer. At least 2 x 2026 1sts, 2027 1st and a good player. Very few untouchables in our squad. Rankine, Dawson, RT. For Nas I’d be open to anyone else.

Butts a good pick up for the Dogs. Addresses a glaring need they had. Add him and Butters, plus Darcy back from injury - they’ll be around the mark in 2027.
