Despite a wide search, the Crows have announced an underwhelming coaching group for next year's pivotal season. It is not quite the reshuffle they were hoping for. @joshmoney__
The Crows have finalised their coaching structure for next season.
Nathan van Berlo (midfield, despite initial plans to shift to forwards)
Matthew Wright (forwards - coached SANFL this year)
Ben Jacobs (defenders - last coached Bombers mids)
Sam Jacobs (ruck and stoppages)
@7NewsAdelaide
Former Power player Ben Jacobs set to land an assistant role at the Crows, with exact line not yet locked in.
Jack Hombsch moving from defence back into development.
Scott Camporeale had an initial coffee with Murray Davis recently, with no job offered or role discussed.
A return to footy is unlikely at this stage.
Scott Thompson is loving life at Brisbane, where he works in development, but is keen to return home one day.

The coaching reshuffle has continued at Adelaide with the club set to finally land a new assistant while another is shifting into a different role. A former Power player is set to join the Crows. @joshmoney__
I understand the Crows are set to land former Essendon midfield coach Ben Jacobs as an assistant.
The reshuffle continues at West Lakes with current backline coach Jack Hombsch returning to a development role. More details on @7NewsAdelaide shortly.
Port Adelaide midfielder Will Brodie has retired with a year remaining on his contract. 28yo played 56 games across spells at the Power, Dockers and Suns.
Forwards Ollie Lord and Tom Anastasopoulos have been delisted @7AFL @7NewsAdelaide
No issues at all with the Crows holding onto Nick Murray.
2027 picks in a hugely-compromised draft would be cold comfort if Keane or Borlase were to get injured next season, in a massive year for the club and its coach.
Ridiculous to call him a SANFL player.
The big contract offer from North Melbourne clearly suggests they rate him much higher than that. Would not be surprised at all to see him work his way back into best 23 next year, too.
Luke Pedlar has been traded from the Crows to Port Adelaide
Nick Murray’s move to North has not gone through. He’ll return to Adelaide.

EXCLUSIVE: Port Adelaide captain Connor Rozee has told 7NEWS there is no hard feelings between he and Zak Butters with his vice-captain bound for the Bulldogs. In a special sit-down at his home, Rozee admits he fully understands the importance of family to his great mate while also paying tribute to rival captain Jordan Dawson. @joshmoney__

At home with Connor Rozee: The Port Adelaide captain sits down with 7NEWS for an exclusive chat.
On his season-ending injury recovery: “Pretty much everyone I've seen has said you’ll get back to pretty much 100%. It might take a few months here or a few weeks there. I'm pretty much almost sprinting. It's just getting a bit of strength back in my muscle now over pre-season. So, I'll start to filter back into normal running and normal training.”
On his vice-captain and good mate Zak Butters leaving the club: “He told a fair few of us sort of middle to latter part of the year. We're still really good mates and I can't wait to suit up against him and give him a few corkies, hopefully. He's gone to Melbourne, he's not that far away. I'm sure we're going to see each other a fair bit, we're going to play a lot of footy against each other. I'm sure we'll catch up a fair bit outside of football.”
On likely No.1 draft pick Dougie Cochrane: “I've spent pretty much every day with him at the club. He's been rehabbing throughout the year, played a few games for the Maggies. It's almost like he's been a part of the squad already, it's just whenever his name gets called out… From what I've seen, the biggest thing for him is his competitiveness. He's got clearly super athletic talent and he's good at football, but he's got that real drive to win, which you can't teach sometimes.”
On Luke Pedlar’s looming cross-town switch: “I think it'll be great, I've definitely respected the way he's gone about it. He's tough, he's had some big moments in Showdowns, and I think he'll fit into our team really nicely if we can get him onboard.”
On Josh Carr’s first season in charge: “It's been terrific, I think our personalities really, really click. We're both pretty laid back but also super competitive which I think meshes with our group really well.”
On Jason Horne-Francis’ leadership potential: “My job is to help him become a better leader and then potentially one day either him or someone else takes my role and I can take a step back which would be the ideal situation. As a leader, you want to create other leaders and I think that's the best thing I can do.”
On fellow AFL captain Jordan Dawson: “It's exactly what you want from your leaders for them to be strong on and off the field and there's a lot bigger things than football sometimes and that gets forgotten. He's been a tremendous leader this year, someone that I definitely fully respect and I'm sure the whole club put their arms around him as the whole AFL world did. He played some amazing football and went through some terrible things.”

Proposed "mega trade" could include Port Adelaide turning pick 4 into 6 and 10.
So many moving parts but no players expected to be leaving or arriving at Alberton through the deal.
