There are reports from Russia that five hospitalized patients tested positive for mpox (formerly known as monkeypox). All five are in stable condition with mild or moderate symptoms and are receiving treatment. Russia’s consumer health watchdog (Rospotrebnadzor) had earlier reported suspected cases, launched contact tracing, ordered disinfection, and implemented anti-epidemic measures.

Investitionsschock: Der Schweizer Pharmakonzern Roche hat sämtliche künftigen Investitionsentscheidungen in Deutschland vorerst ausgesetzt. Deutschland-Chef Daniel Steiners kritisiert die Bundesregierung scharf und spricht von einer politischen Zäsur. Besonders bemerkenswert: Noch 2025 investierte Roche rund 719 Millionen Euro in seine deutschen Standorte. Jetzt steht die weitere Investitionsplanung auf dem Prüfstand.
Alarmzeichen: Roche beschäftigt in Deutschland 18.594 Mitarbeiter und erzielte 2025 einen Umsatz von 8,9 Milliarden Euro. Seit 2020 flossen rund 3,8 Milliarden Euro in deutsche Standorte. Nun konkurriert Deutschland bei künftigen Investitionen mit den USA und China. Steiners fordert bessere Standortbedingungen und erklärt: „Europa sollte vor allem lernen, sich wieder anzustrengen.“
Ein Konzern, der Milliarden in Deutschland investiert hat, zieht bei neuen Investitionen vorerst die Notbremse. Ein verheerendes Warnsignal für den Industriestandort!
