Recently, I inaugurated the country’s first Pet Care Education and Training Institute in Pune. The institute will provide skill-based training in areas such as pet grooming, dog walking, pet sitting, pet handling and boarding facility management. I believe Mumbai can also have a dedicated facility for pet care education and training. I am exploring the possibility of creating such a facility in Mumbai, with a focus on skill development and new employment opportunities in the growing pet care sector. I would like to hear from pet parents, pet care professionals, trainers and citizens about what courses, training and facilities should be included.

750 kilometres. One month. A city that’s becoming more walkable every day.
Between July 1 and July 31, the Safer Footpaths Campaign reclaimed 750 km of Bengaluru’s footpaths, creating safer, more accessible streets for children, senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and every Bengalurean who deserves to walk without stepping onto the road.
