Traders on @Polymarket are betting San Francisco home values will fall further by year-end In Polymarket’s quarterly market for the San Francisco metro, the chance of home values ending the year below $1.062M has jumped from around 25% yesterday to around 60% today @ParclLabs’s latest benchmark is about $1.107M. Getting below $1.062M would mean another drop of just over 4% by December 31.

A final review window is now open for V3 LPs who missed the original withdrawal deadline due to exceptional circumstances. As approved by the DAO, accounts already covered by the eligibility criteria still have until 30 September 2026 to withdraw. The full eligibility breakdown is available in our previous update. If your account falls outside those criteria but you believe it should be reviewed, you have 30 days to submit a petition. Each case will be reviewed individually. Approval is not guaranteed, and wallet ownership verification may be required. Once the window closes, no further V3 LP petitions will be accepted.

UPDATE: With 2 days left in June, @Polymarket is showing an implied probability of 51% that US median home values will land between $433k and $435k on June 30 This is on the coattails of May numbers releasing showing an +$8,400 MoM bump in median home sales prices raising it to $424,900. A jump to $433k would be another $8,100 MoM increase.

The immense irony here is that perps - in particular real estate related perps - would have perhaps *helped prevent* an 07/08 style crisis, which cascaded in large part because nobody knew who held what at what price and nobody got liquidated promptly (completely solved in perps)
Fascinating quote from CME Group CEO Terry Duffy, whose own company operates a prediction market exchange. Duffy is unhappy with Kalshi getting a green light on perps. Via @business: bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

Replying to @RobertJShiller
@RobertJShiller saw it in ‘92. Crypto proved market structure and now the U.S. Reg path is opening thanks to @MichaelSelig & team We’ve been building towards this for years: real time data, indices and an exchange @parcl is the infrastructure for real estate financial products
The idea for perps first surfaced in 1992, when Yale University economist @RobertJShiller proposed the idea of a perpetual future for the real estate market. Shiller was right, but early. It took until 2016 (via @CryptoHayes) for the idea to reach widespread adoption. @kkirkbos and I explore that in this clip from @LawofCodeFM.

V4 Devnet Trading Competition 2 starts June 4. The first round did ~$22M in paper volume across nearly 4,000 matched trades. This round is bigger: more markets, fees on, rebates on, and a $5,000 USDC prize pool.

#BestPlacesToRetire In 2026 Pros: Median home price of $238,000, 42% below national median. Excellent ratio of primary care doctors per capita. Very bikeable and walkable. State has flat 3.07% income tax, with Social Security and most retirement income excluded from the tax. Read more: forbes.com/sites/williampbar… (Photo: Sean Pavone/Newscom)

Unaffordability is real. But “unaffordable” and “about to crash” are two different claims. 2008 was a forced-seller event. A real drop in U.S. home prices would require seller capitulation. We’re not seeing that. @ParclLabs Motivated Seller Index still points to stubborn sellers across most major U.S. metros.

“Slow to no rent growth.” Rents are falling YoY in more than half of major U.S. metros. Renters have leverage.
In 12 of 21 major US metros, rents are falling. Check what your local market is doing before you renew or sign a new lease. Source: @ParclLabs
