It's not easy to run a lit mag. Right now, we're trying our best to stay afloat, but with little submitters right now and not enough funds flowing into to support Papers, we've decided to go on another hiatus.
We hope that you can continue to support us one way or another!

we want love stories, we want horror, we want love story horror or love horror stories or maybe love stories involving something slightly monstrousous (like an all knowing, all powerful worm) and something slightly more mundane (like a household appliance)

Hey all, if we were to HYPOTHETICALLY ;D nominate for "lit mag superlatives" what types of things would you like to see?
Meaning like:
- Kindest editors
- Promotes their writers
- Favorite social media follow etc.
We’re so happy to be back. It was so cold out there 👾

I am happy happy!! I've just signed a publishing contract with @High_Fre_quency Press (2026) for my novel THE HARDEST THING TO SEE, literary fiction with strong romantic leanings set in the contemporary classical music world!
We think Twitter might be blocking our posts. Hey writers, if you can see this, can you interact with us? Please please please with Sabrina Carpenter on top? #literarymagazine #WriterCommunity #writers

reminder because we just had someone pull a submission for this reason - EIC @emily_perkovich is a SxWer as are more than a few of our authors & masthead. We are pro SxWers. If you aren't we may not be the best fit for your work.
