The ERCOT peak demand record set 6/12/22 was 74.9 GW The peak demand record set 8/10/23 was 85.4 GW Peak demand increased 10.5 GW in 14 months!! The Feb 2021 winter storm kickstarted a frenzy of construction--mostly wind, solar & batteries--which came online just in time.
