Trump has "convinced himself, three people close to him have told us, that Ukraine’s attacks on the refineries are, in part, meant to undermine Republicans’ chances next month—and by extension, Trump."

Wow. This happened in "The Diplomat" when the president started becoming an autocrat.
Pete Hegseth just gutted the system troops use to report wrongdoing. The military’s Inspector General is how a service member safely reports fraud, abuse, a dangerous commander, or a sexual assault, often anonymously, without fear of retaliation. Hegseth’s overhaul strips that anonymity, lets “non-credible” complaints get tossed, and flags anyone who files too often. He calls the old system “weaponized," yet offered no evidence.
A junior enlisted troop who sees something wrong just lost their safest way to say so. That doesn't protect the force. It protects the people at the top. military.com/pete-hegseth-an…
NEW: Evicting reporters from the Brady briefing room is very much on the table still for President Trump, as he and his administration have escalated their aggressive moves against the press. @jonathanvswan me nytimes.com/2026/10/20/us/po…
The backfire will be spectacular. What’s the over/under on how long before the site crashes.
Trump announces "fraud whistleblower incentive program" -- "All Americans will now be able to go to fraud dot gov and report cases of corruption and theft of taxpayer dollars in their communities ... if you turn somebody in and you find $1 billion, we're giving a commission of 1%. That's a lot of money"

Reminder -
Armed agents at the polls is a crime, not a gray area. The law doesn’t care what uniform they’re wearing.
If you see it, write down where and when, take a photo if it’s safe, and call 866-OUR-VOTE.
Yes, this is the tectonic collision that is being setup, and we aren’t talking enough about what it means. Either they are totally wrong, or they have some reason to think they are correct. The danger lies in that thing we cannot yet see clearly.
Sorry about your pension and your 401k, but how about that shiny new data center in your backyard? Amazing, right?

"Speculative data center debt is being repackaged and sold to pension and retirement funds, university endowments, and other institutional investors in a manner eerily reminiscent of the subprime bubble."

.@iamjohnoliver in a @LastWeekTonight segment did a bit during his 1st term & joked we’ve hit rock bottom.
Several weeks later, he gave an update & the gist was, ‘we’ve drilled thru the center of the earth & come out the other side’.
What say you now?
🚨#BREAKING: Donald Trump is reportedly considering quietly offering a full pardon to Ghislaine Maxwell after the midterms, but before the new Democratic Congress is sworn in in January. He allegedly believes she did nothing wrong.

Musk thought he had bribed Trump enough in the midterms that the White House would agree to say Trump and Musk together agreed to throttle Starlink for Ukraine. But
Replying to @lrozen
“During the uproar, SpaceX representatives called White House counterparts seeking a unified understanding and subsequent message that the company and Trump administration coordinated ahead of Musk’s directive, the people said.”
