In 2001 the American Special Forces who went into Afghanistan rode in on horseback and carried their kit on mules, and the army that owns the most expensive vehicles on earth still runs a course teaching its soldiers to pack one.
The mule has been retired from the modern army three times and called back three times. The British Army got rid of its last ones in the 1970s. Then came the Falklands, where the Marines yomped across the island because nothing with wheels could cross it. Then Afghanistan, where the only way up a valley with a mortar and three days of rations was on the back of an animal the Americans bought locally and the British sent to Cyprus to learn to handle.
A mule carries a quarter of its own weight for 20 miles over ground that stops a quad bike, on grass and whatever grain it is given. It does not need fuel flown in. It does not break down 15 miles from the nearest mechanic. It does not show up on an infrared sensor as a vehicle. When it is tired it stops, and when the soldier shouts at it, it stops for longer, which is why the Marines say the mule is the only animal that has ever made a sergeant major cry.
In the mountains of Italy in 1944 the Allied armies bought mules by the tens of thousands because the lorries could not reach the front, and the soldiers who ate on the Gothic Line ate because an animal walked their dinner up the hill.
Every decade a general announces that the mule has been replaced. Every war finds a hill the replacement cannot climb.

I honestly cannot believe that less than 100 years ago Scottish highland regiments along with the English navy literally ruled the fucking planet and now our country is being conquered from within without so much as a pushback.
Which war did we lose that allowed this to happen?

When they arrested this man, 9 of the officers who inspected his laptop died within a year. Most of them committed suicide.
Not only that, but it reopened the Hillary Clinton email case, which resulted in her having her security detail destroy her private home servers and hard drives with a hammer.
No, that’s not an exaggeration.
They really used a hammer.

In the late 1950s, a German drug company told the world it had created the perfect sedative—one so safe that overdoses rarely killed and pregnant women could take it freely for morning sickness. Within years, more than 10,000 babies were born with missing or truncated limbs, their hands or feet sometimes emerging directly from their torsos. The drug was thalidomide. The scale of the disaster was driven by manufacturer negligence and regulatory systems that failed to demand basic safety evidence before approval.
Chemie Grünenthal developed and aggressively marketed thalidomide (Contergan) across Europe, Canada, Australia, and elsewhere starting in the late 1950s. Testing was inadequate even by the standards of the day: animal studies were limited or poorly designed, and no proper evaluation of effects on a developing fetus occurred, despite the drug’s promotion for pregnancy. The company claimed safety in pregnancy with scant supporting data. When reports of irreversible nerve damage in adult users emerged around 1959, Grünenthal minimized or denied the connection, delayed critical publications, and in some accounts used private investigators against complaining doctors and patients. Internal awareness of serious risks grew; critics, including later court documents and investigative reporting, allege the company continued sales for weeks after strong indications of birth-defect links (including an internal communication suggesting knowledge by mid-October 1961) and threatened researchers such as German pediatrician Widukind Lenz who first publicly connected the drug to the epidemic of malformations. Company staff and their families themselves had affected children. A 1968–1970 German criminal trial of executives ended without convictions—the court assessed individual culpability as minor—but still found that Grünenthal had not met the standards of a conscientious manufacturer regarding nerve damage. The company later funded compensation and issued a 2012 apology widely criticized by survivors as too little, too late.
Regulatory systems outside the United States were equally deficient. Approvals proceeded under frameworks that did not require teratogenicity testing or rigorous clinical data. In the United States, FDA reviewer Frances Kelsey repeatedly rejected the application on grounds of incomplete safety evidence, preventing formal marketing and limiting the toll (though investigational distribution still reached many patients). The contrast exposed systemic gaps elsewhere. Post-disaster reforms (including the 1962 U.S. Kefauver-Harris Amendments) mandated stronger efficacy and safety requirements, but they arrived only after thousands of children had been permanently harmed by a drug whose risks the manufacturer understated and regulators failed to catch.

The AAP’s Dr Andrew Freedman recently said that circumcision isn’t even a medical practice. The truth is, infant circumcision is an #organharvesting scam. The @AmerAcadPeds, the makers of Erectile Dysfunction drugs, Hospitals, insurance providers & doctors are all in on it.

Yes— this is funded by us and yes these brainwashed psychos are being bred here under the guise of religion.
Masked Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian villagers on Friday, setting olive groves on fire and slinging rocks.
Caught in the attack was Post photographer Heidi Levine. “They just kept kicking me and kicking me, like probably 50 times,” Levine said. wapo.st/4yt6dHY

None of these clueless liberal morons will ever see the truth. They ruined their lives believing lies & propaganda of Big Brother & Big Pharma.

The same man helping to make antisemitism laws restricting, your speech has been arrested for molesting his own grandson.
The affidavit says that he urinated in his grandson’s mouth, but for whatever reason, the law that he helped pass is still on the books.
Should people who are molesting children, especially members of their own family, be able to make laws that put restrictions on your speech?
