Hypomyces Lactiflourum the “Lobster Mushroom” is actually a parasitic fungus that infects Russula Brevipes, (an edible but insipid species) and completely alters its color, texture, and flavor, rendering it a gourmet edible. 🦞🍄

European Pear Rust, a fungal parasite inadvertently introduced to the new world thru the global fruit trade. Wreaks havoc in the PNW especially, as we have tons of pear and juniper trees (the Rust's preferred species).
