Steve Albini's #1 priority was to protect and preserve an artist's vision--and you can't preserve it forever digitally so he kept working with tape. It's no wonder his @Caropopcast episode remains by far the most downloaded one. We've lost a tremendously talented, thoughtful guy.

Set your DVRs for Michael Shannon & Jason Narducy (@SplitSingleband) doing their indie valentine on @LateNightSeth. Rock n roll polymath @dagjuhlin joins the fun.
Lots of great music out there, including mustn't miss new solo record "Larks of Avon" by Jeff Lescher. chicagoreader.com/music/goss…
