Earlier, I tweeted a video from an Abdul El-Sayed town hall. I deleted that tweet because it was a violation of CBS News standards. I apologize.

Having watched The Lighthouse after seeing Primetime and The Odyssey this year I can confidently say that Robert Pattinson has complete control over his mouth in ways the rest of us just do not. xitter.cf/7athaus/status/2111130…

Merrill College students know their rights as journalists.
"Cat Murphy is a master's student at the University of Maryland, credentialed as a reporter for our Capital News Service and doing the job we teach our students to do. Cat recorded openly in a public space alongside other news outlets, and that is her legal right," Dean Rafael Lorente (@DeanLorente) said. "I'm proud of how she handled herself in a difficult situation."

Shoutout to @CNSmd reporter Cat Murphy for standing ten toes down and asking the question anyway. Also, shoutout to our colleagues who supported her. @RepAndyHarrisMD is incorrect about how two-party works in Maryland.
I see people are being introduced to Rep. Andy Harris, a man who once said “I disregard and discount anything that involves the mainstream media press.”
He's been hostile toward the media for as long as I can remember, dating back to when I covered MD's Eastern Shore in 2014.
He also represents a deeply conservative part of the state and has won every general election since 2010 by double-digit percentage points.
This year, he received more votes in the Republican primary (54,122) than all of the Democrats did in their primary combined (42,824).

After a decorated 24-year run at ESPN, Nicole Noren resigned in protest.
She couldn’t go along with the network’s all-out embrace of gambling.
For the first time publicly, in @CJR, Noren shares the deeply personal reasons behind her decision.

They did nothing wrong. Part of the job and I've interviewed plenty of relatives soon after their loved ones died/were killed who wanted the public to know who they were in life.
PHILADELPHIA FOP BLASTS REPORTER FOR SHOWING UP AT FALLEN OFFICER SHANE SEIBER’S HOME HOURS AFTER HIS DEATH
The Philadelphia Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #5 has issued a strongly worded statement condemning a reporter who allegedly showed up at the home of fallen Philadelphia Police Officer Shane Seiber and attempted to interview his grieving wife.
According to the FOP, the reporter arrived just hours after Officer Seiber was killed in the line of duty on Saturday, October 10.
The union called the reported encounter “completely unacceptable, disrespectful, and insensitive,” arguing that it crossed the boundaries of professional journalism.
“LEAVE THEM ALONE.”
That was the FOP’s direct message to news organizations as Officer Seiber’s family struggles to process an unimaginable loss.
The union acknowledged that journalists have a responsibility to report the news but emphasized that grieving families deserve privacy, compassion, and respect.
The FOP also vowed to continue protecting the families of fallen officers from harassment and unwanted intrusion.
Officer Seiber, 40, was a 10-year veteran of the Philadelphia Police Department. He leaves behind his wife and two young children, ages 7 and 3.
The FOP did not identify the reporter or news organization involved in its statement.
The public deserves to know what happened to Officer Seiber. His family also deserves the space to grieve without unwanted intrusion.

This is absolutely wild per Status — ABC News completely retracted this story like two days ago just totally nuked it. No note, no explanation , no comment. It had been shared by tons of top lawmakers and democratic officials.
