For many students in the Palm Beach County School District, the AVID (Advancement via Individual Determination) program is a path to college and career success. At Palm Beach Central High School, one educator is making a life-changing difference. This week's "Thank a Teacher" winner is Celine Besman, the school's dedicated AVID coordinator. Little did she know that on pajama day for Homecoming spirit week, she would receive one of the most exciting surprises of her career. Thanks to our sponsor @HCAFLHealthcare, we presented Ms. Besman with a $500 check!

I am blessed to announce my commitment to the University of Tampa, to continue my athletic and academic career. I would like to thank my family and friends for supporting and believing in me throughout this journey. As well as my coaches who have helped me along the way. Finally, I would like to thank Coach Urso and the Tampa staff for giving me this opportunity. Go Spartans.
