This morning, our volunteers on the grounds team arrived at the stadium to continue their work on the ground and our newly relaid pitch. However, they were greeted with a devastating surprise - our water tank behind the John Nicholls Stand had corroded, failed and burst overnight. This has left our grounds team without a working water supply. With summer heat setting in, work on our new pitch is essential in order to prepare it for the new season - however, with this damage they are unable to water the pitch - a serious and massive setback.
