Paul Graham: AGI Isn't a Finish Line, It's a Smear
"We thought AGI would be this finish line. We'd cross it, it would be very clear. But when you're standing on the finish line, you realize it has width... The finish line is actually a smear, and we're on it. That's why you can't get your restaurant times."

Alexandr Wang: Muse Can Give Everyone the Adulthood They Dreamed of as Kids
"Everyone when they're kids, they have big ideas and big dreams... and then by the time people finish school, enter the workforce, all that hope and ambition and ability to dream has been sucked out of them. I think ambition is really a good word for it." — @alexandr_wang
Alexandr Wang: Personal AI Agents Live or Die on Reliability
"It can be one of the greatest consumer products ever. But you're dealing with models. You're dealing with something nondeterministic... if people have these unreliable experiences, they think it's trash." — @alexandr_wang
Alexandr Wang on Why Muse Had to Break Through the AI Noise
"It's a pretty torrential stream of updates... here's another model, and here's another product, and here's another feature."
"We need to break through. Meta, we have lots of distribution, but that's not enough to make it break through in an interesting cultural or fascinating way for the world to pay attention to." — @alexandr_wang

Introducing Overlap Campaigns.
We’re bringing performance pricing to clipping: you pay only for the views your clips generate.
Today we’re launching Overlap Campaigns: a team of AI agents that run clipping campaigns on social accounts you own, priced based on the views they generate.
Clips have become both the content people consume and the ads for the businesses behind it. The same clip can introduce someone to a creator, promote what they sell, and generate revenue itself.
Someone might never watch your full podcast or show. They can still see your clips regularly, get to know you, and become a customer. For that person, the clips are the show.
That has made clipping an essential part of promotion and monetization for creators and creator-led businesses.
Running a "clipping campaign" used to mean wrangling freelance clippers in Discord who publish your content on accounts you don’t own.
Overlap Campaigns gives that work to a team of agents. You set the budget. They find moments in your content library, edit them into clips, and publish across your accounts.
This is why @Overlap_AI works with thousands of creators to turn their content into reach and revenue.
Alexandr Wang: Why Meta's AI Bet Is Personal, Not Professional
"The natural area where Meta was going to be successful is consumer AI. It's not work. It's not coding. It's personal." — @alexandr_wang

Sam Altman: We'd Tell Investors "Sorry" Before We'd Skip AI Safety
"I am sorry ... we're still gonna try to figure out a way to make you a bunch of money in the future, but we gotta make a decision that is extremely against your financial interest right now. And for the good of humanity, we're gonna do that." — @sama
Peter Thiel: What America Really Needs From Europe
"More important than whether Europe is a super close ally or a somewhat allied, but very independent thinking place is it's in America's interest for Europe to get its act together and to be more functional, to get its economy going, to be a part of building the future." — @peterthiel
Peter Thiel: Europe Is "Extremely Far Behind" in AI
"The US is the place where AI is happening... China is a fast follower, and then Europe is extremely far behind. It's not even felt on the level of corporations... there's still much, much less of that sense of urgency in Europe." — @peterthiel
Sam Altman: How AI Solved a Millennium Prize Problem
"We had a model solve one of the Millennium Prize problems, Navier-Stokes. This is a moment that I did not think was gonna happen in 2026... we now have models that are clearly, unequivocally capable of expanding the frontier of knowledge in a way that humanity's smartest minds have not been able to do on our own." — @sama
Peter Thiel: "Rich As An Argentine" Used To Be A Common Expression
"In 1900, 1920, rich as an Argentine was still a common expression. That's sort of gone out of usage. The problem for all of us is, is there any way we can learn from the history of Argentina? So it won't take us a hundred years of decline to get there." — @peterthiel

Will Robbins (@whrobbins), on the one piece of advice he'd give his 20 year old self starting out in venture:
"All that matters in venture is having an enormous reputational wealth with the right founders."
Peter Thiel: Contrarianism Isn't the Point
"I don't think the point is to be contrarian for its own sake. Because then you just look at the consensus and put a minus sign in front of it. That's not that interesting. I think the real goal is always to try to think for oneself." — @peterthiel
Peter Thiel: Most People Aren't Evil, They're Just Incompetent
"Most things are not evil. They're not even good. They're just merely bad. If you're in a world where 99% of the businesses, companies, people, political leaders, business leaders are totally incompetent, that's the problem we should actually be talking about." — @peterthiel

Paul Graham (@paulg) had a trick for office hours: ask founders what other ideas they're kicking around.
They'd always give the serious ones first, the ones that "make sense" and "generate revenue."
Justin Kan and Michael Seibel did the same thing. Ran through all their real business ideas. Then, almost as an afterthought, Justin mentioned wanting to strap a camera to his head and livestream his life.
Everyone in the room lit up. That throwaway idea became Twitch.
Marty Kausas from Pylon make the point that the good ideas are usually the ones you're embarrassed to say out loud first.
Peter Thiel: Great Founders Are Both Insiders and Outsiders
"These founders have both the outsider insider dynamic... Max was this super achieving straight A student, this incredibly charismatic person, but then also left Ukraine when he was 16 years old, grew up in a poor part of Chicago... Being an outsider can really be an advantage." — @peterthiel
Peter Thiel: Everyone Secretly Agrees the Antichrist Is Near
"Everybody thinks, everybody says that the Antichrist is a crazy idea, and the reality is they actually secretly agree with me." — @peterthiel
Peter Thiel: Is Europe's AI Effort Concorde or Minitel?
"If you ask the question about AI in 2026, is it like the Concorde, or is it like Minitel? If we were honest, my assessment is that Europe's further behind than Minitel was." — @PeterThiel
