I read this as a woman, once a girl, with a body and all the nuanced feelings that come with living in it, and I read it as a daughter (though I like to imagine I was swapped at birth), and a writer. I read it and felt seen, and I hope you do too. @gaylebrandeis @OvercupBooks

I really loved this book, I left it sitting on my bedside table as a reminder that there are women who are brave, honest, resilient, curious and articulate and that all of our experiences are stories - once we survive them

Sad news. Barbara Ehrenreich, my one and only mother, died on September 1, a few days after her 81st birthday. She was, she made clear, ready to go. She was never much for thoughts and prayers, but you can honor her memory by loving one another, and by fighting like hell.
