First, LRT1 update from John Manconi: RTG has been making major progress on all fronts, "they've used the yardstick forward significantly." Manconi says if this keeps up, the handover date will indeed be in Q2 (ie. April to June). #ottnews #ottcity

I wonder if there's anything this Liberal government couldn't get people to say when they're on the payroll. Just don't ask if it's the Liberal Party payroll or yours
She taped an official, a public servant, without their knowledge. She failed to disclose that little detail in over 4 hrs of testimony. But she’s fighting to uphold the rule of law/our institutions? Ok. As you wish. This narrative is becoming less compelling by the day.#Cdnpoli
FOLKS! Ottawa is updating the 311 system and will soon be disclosing - to developers - the lat/long location of different service types ... including ... "Parked or stopped in #ottbike lane" I really need to write an app.

Voters of Ottawa: start planning NOW to run for our City Council in the next election. Start to read the budget. Read the enabling legislation. Above all, talk with everyone you can to learn their issues. This city deserves better than many of our incumbents

This is yet another example why voters need to take their decisions seriously.

Sounds to me like you can tell but that you felt your tweet would be much more clever if you said you couldn't.

Can't tell if this person is referring to the process, which was chock full of anonymous sources, or the report in the media
I have about as much time for unnamed sources as I do for anonymous Twitter accounts. Both have zero accountability and commonly possess ulterior motives.

Can anyone confirm what the Ontario Municipal Act and the City of Ottawa Act say about council's oversight over major projects?
1
Council's role is to provide oversight and accountability. They need better lawyers giving more appropriate advice how to implement that role without violating actual confidentiality

The city obviously owes council and the public a full explanation why SNC is the winner. Time is running out.

Rather disingenuous to take service away from the airport in favour of increasing service to Limebank, then apply the added costs only to the Airport link
Ottawa airport rail link would cost Transpo $4M annually compared to current bus service ottawacitizen.com/news/local…

I am sure many people would be interested in what the copyright clearance fees are for these "free" movie nights, and clarification regarding how those fees are paid
I'm not trying to pick on you or @TimTierney and I appreciate you getting back to me when your colleague didn't, but it's not a free movie night, there's a cost picked up by taxpayers, your residents included

Listen up #OttCity, it's very cold out there Be sure to dress in layers. 3 are recommended: 1–The layer closest to your skin should be clothing that wicks moisture away 2–A warm insulating layer such as a sweater/sweatshirt 3-An outer layer that protects you from wind & moisture

Let's clear up a misconception: whether a candidate won with a plurality of one vote, or an overwhelming majority of votes they have the same mandate.
