Too much tree felling (like pic below) goes on in Haringey from developers, insurance claims - the tree dept needs closer scrutiny on the way it treats TPO trees like Townsend Yard, N6. They will find it hard to achieve 30% more canopy cover...@mikehakata @perayahmet

Surely @wfcouncil cannot continue with its plan to destroy 70+ mature trees at Orient Way Pocket Park?! #WeNeedTrees #ClimateEmergency

So @wfcouncil’s Lea Bridge Station development which is not compliant on tall buildings and affordable housing is almost certainly illegal! But @GracieMaeW, @Labourstone and @WFLabourParty call critics NIMBYs and @LeytonLabour block them! @LeeValleyPark lacked courage to object!
Thank you to everyone who responded to the Local Plan 2 for #WalthamForest.
The Planning Inspectors have found that the current plan is neither fully legally compliant nor sound regarding tall buildings, flooding risk & inflated housing targets, echoing:

Just highlights how planting new trees results in many trees dying. Better therefore not to cut down existing established trees as at @OrientSave Pocket Park!

'But it's only one tree.' But just 1 tree becomes another tree & another, gradually eroding...from 2013 to 2017 London lost 50,000 Street trees. eandt.theiet.org/content/art……We have no London figures yet for 2017-2022 but will be similar or worse. Haringey since 2008, 2616 trees.

Representation is better when it’s local too @wfcouncil… as the only Lea Bridge candidate who actually lives in the ward, I couldn’t agree more…

Lea Bridge is in desperate need of better public infrastructure. If the council can find £1m to bail out developers, why can’t they invest in a necessary footbridge? change.org/p/network-rail-wa…

Support the plan for the East London Waterworks Park to mitigate flood risk and improve climate resilience! #ELWP
NEW: climate risk maps show exposure and vulnerability to risks such as flooding and overheating of London’s communities. Produced with @BloombergAssociates, these maps will help target climate and environment work where it’s needed most. data.london.gov.uk/dataset/c…

A grand and young 100-year-old London plane tree is more valuable standing, then felled(🪵). Please allow it to stand for a few hundred more years. 🌳🦔🦉🐞
The concerned public should also share their opinions with @ContactHaringey

How can we trust the #green Tory pre-election rhetoric? Last local election, @SazimetI falsely claimed to have supported campaign against #TOXIC #LeaBridge #Gasworks &when challenged, PROMISED residents on doorsteps that they WOULD help us in future!! We're still waiting...
Back on the doorsteps talking to residents about our campaign for a new conservation area in North Chingford 🌳

When my favourite old birch tree was toppled by storm Eunice some neighbours said it would burn very well
I said I’ve got a better plan so today it’s a beautiful nature pond, log pile and it remains sequestered carbon

Haringey Tree Protectors and @xrharingey are trying to stop this 100-year-old London plane from being felled by @haringeycouncil. We have tree climbers up in the tree and will continue to defend Stroud Green in the #climatecrisis @mikehakata @SHIFTHaringey @StroudGuardians

The UK government is failing on plastic pollution and nature is suffering the consequences.
We've signed an open letter written by @friends_earth telling the government to get its act together. Will you join us? foe.uk/cducz
